Stray dog. Unclaimed.
It sure feels like I write those words a lot.
Ps- it is flipping cold outside so stop leaving dogs out there.
(And before someone decides to come at me noting- what if she was lost & someone doesn't know where to look for her- this girl has also been heavily neglected for a long, long while).
So neglected that the shelter had a quality of life assessment done.
Her shelter vet notes:
moderate alopecia & inflammation on front & hind legs, large mass in R groin area, lumps- spine & shoulder, visible muscle wasting in hind legs & ribs, presence of dental disease, overall demeanor soft & gentle. Of course intact too. Current weight- only 15 lbs.
She needs a heck of a lot of fixing up. And upon arrival- the most itchy dog we've had in a while. Imagine your entire body being so itchy & infected & there's not a darn thing you can do about it. Plus the pain & weakness. And then add being left to freeze outside...
Ontario laws- ya need some work! Our dogs are suffering. Right here in our own backyard. There's no need to go elsewhere in the world to find high levels of neglect & abuse. It's all right here. This is why we are an ALL CANADIAN rescue. Because our own dogs- they need our help. FAST.
Molly, is only 8 years old.
Molly also loves snuggles & is extremely sweet. She loves little walks & is both gentle & a little social butterfly. She's as perfect as can be.
So she deserves a chance.
