Berkeley's Boarding Kennels

Berkeley's Boarding Kennels 902-757-0744 Located just 15 min. from Mt. Uniacke. Comfortable boarding for your dog in a quiet and I also take the occasional dog inside my house.

Located in South Rawdon, I provide boarding for dogs in a non-traditional way. I strive to give them a quiet and cosy atmosphere with lots of attention. The prices vary depending on how many dogs you have: one dog $30/night; 2 dogs together $40/night. Walks are included in the boarding price, and as well playtime outside is provided. There are just 3 kennels, but they are spacious when compared to

most other boarding kennels, and leading off them is a small fenced yard for the dogs to enjoy a bit of freedom in - one at a time, unless they come as a family (not all dogs like other dogs). Dogs that are unsocialised do not get to play with Leo, my dog; but, if they are socialised, then they can even go for their walk with him and can have "one-on-one" time with him in the yard. If you have a large dog (Newfie/Dane), I can even accomodate their size, as one kennel has an extra-large doggy door. There is no extra charge for this, but dogs must be cat-friendly. In the winter, the doggy doors are sealed up and all dogs come and go outside by way of the back door, just like they would be doing at their homes. Temperature in the winter is heated to the mid-sixties (F). In the summer, the dogs get to use their doggy doors to come and go from their outside kennel runs. On hot days the air-conditioner will be on, fans too, and dogs that love to be hosed down will be, to their delight. As per normal with boarding kennels, your dogs must be vaccinated and have the kennel cough vaccine. If you have ANY questions about such things, do not hesitate to ask me. You can call me at 757-0744.

A hopeful Georgie. He sure can look sad…waiting for a treat.😆 And Gracie the Golden is here for her holiday. And Gideon is so patient with the dogs. He disappears and then shows up looking all cool, calm, and collected.👍

This year I tied up the standard hydrangea stalks so that the heavy rain doesn’t break them and ruin them. The other type of hydrangeas that I have will bend with the weight without breaking, but these ones will break.
