"...FDA has ended the pet food human grade ingredient verification process (known as FDA Letter of No Objection). This devastation to pet food consumers was confirmed yesterday by the Pet Food Committee of AAFCO."

The one thing FDA did to help consumers know the difference between a pet feed and a pet food is gone - without warning. FDA has left us absolutely defenseless against marketing lies of pet food.

35 dogs seized by the Montreal SPCA are now available for adoption!

In June, the Montreal SPCA seized 35 dogs, mostly huskies and husky mixes, from a facility located in the Lanaudière region. Yesterday, these dogs were surrendered to the Montreal SPCA and they are now available for adoption.

Families interested in adopting are invited to visit with all their family members (also bring your dog if you have one) during our adoption hours: Monday-Friday from 12pm to 8pm and Saturday-Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Many of these dogs are timid and seeking patient and calm adoptive families to help them adjust to their new lives.

an oldie but a goodie!

Every dog owner knows that their dog has a lot to say, and that they aren't afraid to say it. Just because dogs don't naturally speak English certainly doesn't stop pet owners from having conversations with them, but don't you wish that sometimes you could actually hear what your dog had to say?

Many of you may know about the death of my husband and business partner, David May, on July 9. Now, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have no alternative but to close Dogue de Ville. I will be taking some personal time, and then in the coming months I will be making decisions about continuing the business at another location.
