Bah, je suis tellement mignon qu'on me pardonne tout! Wouf!
. Here's Billy. A royal poodle who's just under a year old. Billy was rescued from a person who was moving out of the country and could no longer keep him. Billy is the king of doing bad behaviours for attention. Chewing furniture, wires, shoes, socks, you name it. He also pinches humans skin when he wants attention. All these behaviours were reinforced by the previous owners. These types of behaviours are easy to reinforce. Dog is bored, wants to play, wants attention from his owner, the dog then starts to offer behaviours until a reaction is had. The dog will repeat these behaviours as long as they are reinforced. We tend to ignore our dogs when they are quiet and good. It's only when the dog is barking, jumping up, stealing forbidden items, biting a or nipping that we react, usually with a "NO" stop that. When the dog is seeking attention even a reprimand will be a positive reinforcer for most dogs. Instead see to the dog's need for exercise and reward the dog for being quiet and calm inside.
Billy, un caniche royal d'environs un an est un peu tannant dans la maison. Il a constamment besoin d'attention. Il mâchouille tout ce qu'il trouve sous la dent, et pince même la peau des humains quand il veux de l'attention. Ces comportements ont surement été renforcer pas ses anciens propriétaires. C'est quelque chose que je vois souvent car ces mauvais comportements sont très facile à renforcer. Le chien s'ennuient, il veux sortir ou veux de l'attention, il jappe, il saute, il vole des items interdit. On lui dit "non" arrête ça. Et le tour est joué. Il a réussit à avoir l'attention de son humain. Pour les chiens qui cherchent de l'attention, même un non peux devenir un renforçateur . Il faut plutôt renforcer les chiens quand ils sont calme et tranquille dans la maison.
