Shadow came for his first groom!

At around 3 months old, grooming isn’t really about getting your puppy perfectly clean—it’s about training their brain 🧠

Puppies go through a key socialization window (roughly 8–16 weeks), and during this time, their experiences shape how they feel about things for life. So when you gently brush them, touch their paws, or introduce a bath, you’re actually teaching them:

👉 “This is normal. No need to panic.”

That means a calm, positive grooming routine now can turn into a dog that loves brushing, tolerates nail trims, and doesn’t freak out at the groomer later on.

Bonus tip: keep sessions super short (like 2–5 minutes) and pair everything with treats—your future self (and your groomer) will thank you.
