Important Update for All Dog Boarding Clients

Effective immediately, all boarding stays must include an emergency contact person.

Last weekend, I had an unexpected medical emergency and needed to go to the hospital while caring for two dogs. Thankfully, I was able to reach the owners and arrange safe pickup for the dogs, and also contact another client to cancel a scheduled stay for that day.

This experience made me realize how important it is to have a backup contact for every dog in our care. Emergencies do not always involve the dog — they can also involve the person caring for them.

For all bookings already scheduled this summer, please send us a direct message with this information as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Your dog’s safety and continuity of care are our top priorities.

THE WAVES OF MOURNING
Blind Day 3 months

Today was one of those grief-wave days.

Most days, Theo and I are in a really good routine now. He knows I am his safe place

But today I found myself mourning all over again.

I miss watching him looking out the window and barking and growling at people
I miss seeing him running next to me when we use to go on long walks
I miss throwing his toy and seeing excitement light up in his whole body.

HE still has joy. He still has love. He still has hIS little warrior spirit. But some days the reality that He has to live the rest of his life in darkness just hits differently.

Grief and gratitude can exist together. I can deeply miss the life Theo once had while still being incredibly thankful he is here beside me, trusting me to help guide him through the darkness.

365 Days Without You, Stella 🤍

It’s been 365 days without you, Stella, and it still doesn’t feel real.
A whole year without your tiny presence in the house, without your little footsteps, without you making every ordinary moment feel special.

You weren’t just my Yorkie—you were family, my comfort, my routine, my heart in a small body.

Theo misses you too. He still looks for you sometimes, like he expects you to be right there beside him again. The house has never felt quite the same without you in it.

Some days the missing feels heavy, other days it’s quiet—but it’s always there, because love like yours doesn’t leave.

I still see you in memories. I still feel you in little moments.
And I still love you just as much as I did every day you were here.

Today we received heartbreaking news that sweet Cleo crossed the rainbow bridge and went to join Stella 💔 😥
She was such a beautiful sweet dog and it was an absolute honor to have watched her throughout the years ❤️
We will miss you tremendously and you will always forever hold a special place in my heart.
