If you truly love animals, ask yourself:

What’s educational about a lion pacing in circles behind glass?

What’s fun about a tiger trapped in a concrete box, stripped of freedom, dignity, and purpose?

This is not education.
And it’s definitely not something we should teach children to normalize.

💔 I still remember the first and only time I ever went to a zoo.. about 16 years ago.
I was much younger, and I left feeling heartbroken.
I couldn’t even explain why at the time… but I knew something was deeply wrong.

Now I understand: it wasn’t wonder I witnessed. It was suffering!

Instead of teaching kids that it’s “fun” to watch trapped animals, let’s teach them what true compassion looks like. Let’s raise a generation that values freedom over entertainment, and respect over tradition.

Dogs have different energy levels, temperaments, and social boundaries. Walking multiple unfamiliar dogs together increases the chances of stress, injury, leash tension, and even fights especially in urban environments.

At Watchmypet™, your dog is never “just one of the pack.”

That’s why we only offer solo walks or walks with dogs from the same household. 🐾

☀️ SUMMER WARNING: Sunscreen = TOXIC for Dogs 🐶❌

Most human sunscreens contain zinc oxide or salicylates, ingredients that are highly toxic to pets if ingested.

If your dog licks your skin after application or chews on a bottle, it can lead to:

🚨 Vomiting
🚨 Diarrhea
🚨 Stomach ulcers
🚨 Organ damage in severe cases

Most pet pawrents don’t realize the risk even with good intentions. Here’s what you can do to keep your pup safe:

✅ Apply pet-safe sunscreen only
✅ Keep your products out of reach
✅ Don’t let dogs lick your skin after application

Let me reintroduce myself.
I’m Mirvat, the founder behind Watchmypet™ 💁🏻‍♀️

A top-tier, personalized pet-sitting service offering professional, compassionate care for animals as if they were our own.

I’m a certified pet care professional, international animal rescuer, and the creator of the Watchmypet™ Academy, which officially launches very soon.

But before all this, I was just a little girl in Lebanon, rescuing cats with my mom. Her compassion shaped me, and working with animals always felt like second nature, it’s who I am. 💫

Years later, I started my first business, Toilettage Miss Spaw, while working full-time elsewhere. I became certified in grooming, pet cosmetology, massotherapy, and first aid/CPR in Canada and internationally.

When a permanent neck injury forced me to stop grooming, I had to completely reinvent myself.
That’s when Watchmypet™ was born, created from a deep desire to continue helping animals, just in a different way.

Then, two years ago, something happened that truly changed me. I hired a pet sitter and due to her lack of professionalism, my dog and another dog were injured.

I lived through what every pet pawrents fears. It was distressing, painful and.. it lit a fire in me! 🔥

The idea of an academy was already in my mind, but that moment made it urgent. I knew I had to do better and help others do better too!

That’s when the Watchmypet™ Academy came to life.

✨ In less than a month, part of the Academy will be available to pet sitters, pet pawrents, and animal professionals who want to get certified the Watchmypet™ way.

✨ The second part? It’s a full career path; a chance to walk the same road I did, with all the tools, heart, and knowledge I’ve built over the last 10 years.

I still rescue. I still believe this work takes more than training. It takes presence, empathy, and real commitment. 🐾

This isn’t just a business, it’s my purpose.
And now, it’s time to share it.
