The RVT Spotlight is Mandy today!
Mandy began working for us as a receptionist while completing her studies at Oulton College and officially joined us as a Registered Veterinary Technician after graduating this year.
In an incredible achievement, she was also elected valedictorian of her graduating class!👏
Since joining our team, Mandy has been gaining hands-on experience in surgery, putting the knowledge and skills she developed in college into practice.
We are so excited to watch her continue to grow and develop in her new role.
Outside of work, Mandy enjoys reading and has a special interest in reptiles.
We are thrilled to have Mandy as part of our team and look forward to all the wonderful things she will accomplish!

We have known Mandi since her high school co-op days, and we're excited to share a little about her!
Mandi graduated from Oulton College's Veterinary Technician program in 2013 and has spent the past 13 years working in emergency veterinary medicine, with a special interest in surgery -gaining valuable experience and skills along
the way.
Outside of work, Mandi enjoys going for walks with her two beloved Border Collies, Maverick and Willow.
She is also a proud cat mom to Mason and Woody, and a loving mom to her two precious sons, Wesley and Ryan.
When she isn't working, Mandi loves spending quality time with her husband Stephane, her nephews and extended family. ❤️
Mandi joined our team in July of this year and we couldn’t be happier to have her back!

Continuing our RVT celebrations, we're excited to shine the spotlight on Jessica!
Jessica graduated from the Oulton College Veterinary Technician Program in 2023 and began working with Maritime Animal Hospital as a Registered Veterinary Technician that same year.
However, her journey with us began long before that!
After completing her high school co-op with our team in 2019, Jessica quickly made a lasting impression and was hired as an assistant that summer.
Throughout her various roles with us, Jessica has gained valuable knowledge and experience that she puts into practice every day.
She is a dependable team member who is always there when you need her, and has a wonderful way of lifting the spirits of those around her.
We're so grateful to have her as part of our team!
When she's not hard at work, Jessica likes to curl up with a good book & enjoys spending time with her beloved pets at home, including her two Maremmas, Piper and Theo, and her beautiful cats, Minnow Moon and Rainbow Fish.💚
Join us in celebrating Jessica and all that she brings to Maritime Animal Hospital!

RVT Spotlight: Meet Ashna! 💙
We're continuing our October celebration of Registered Veterinary Technicians, and next up is our very own Ashna!
Ashna joined our clinic in 2022 after spending over two years in the fast-paced world of emergency veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Oulton College Veterinary Technician Program in November 2020 and has been bringing her knowledge, compassion, and love for animals to our team ever since!
When she's not busy caring for your furry family members, Ashna keeps herself busy with plenty of adventures! You might find her curled up with a good book or two ( or three, or four ) hitting the trails with her adventure buddy Rowan, photographing weddings, or getting involved in local community events.

And when it's time to slow down, she enjoys spending quality time at home with her partner and her cat, Pebbles.
We're so lucky to have Ashna on our team!
Help us celebrate her and all the amazing things our RVTs do to make a difference in the lives of pets and their people.

Meet Amy!
Amy is a bilingual Registered Veterinary Technician who has been a valued member of the Maritime Animal Hospital team since 2001! With a special interest in anaesthesiology and pain management, Amy is passionate about helping ensure our patients receive safe, compassionate care and the best possible comfort throughout their veterinary journey.
Amy is currently attending the Can West Veterinary Conference in beautiful Banff, Alberta, where she's expanding her knowledge and continuing to develop her clinical education and skills. With the stunning Rocky Mountains as her backdrop, it's a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and bring new knowledge back to our team and the patients we care for. We're so proud to have Amy as part of our team and are excited to see her continued commitment to learning and providing exceptional care!

Meet Alysa, one of our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians! 🦜💚Alysa has been part of our team since June 2024, bringing her knowledge, experience, and love for birds to the clinic. She's a fantastic asset when we team up with the Atlantic Wildlife Institute to examine and treat our feathered friends! And speaking of feathered friends, Alysa has a little sidekick of her own — her Sun
Conure, affectionately known as Skittles, who can almost always be found perched on her shoulder!
We appreciate you Alysa!
