💙 Milo’s Laser Therapy Visits! 🐾✨

Milo has been visiting our technician, Katelyn, for therapeutic laser treatments, that Dr. Fralic prescribed. We love seeing this fluffy boy! 🐶💙

As you can see, Milo is rocking his special laser doggles to protect his eyes during treatment! 😎 Even though he has plenty of fluff to keep him cozy, his eyes still need protection. Our team and owners wear protective goggles. Safety is always a priority for both our patients and people!

✨ Did you know? Therapeutic laser therapy can offer several benefits for pets, including:
🐾 Helping reduce pain and inflammation
🐾 Promoting circulation to the treated area
🐾 Supporting the body's natural healing process
🐾 Helping with recovery from injuries and certain surgical procedures
🐾 Improving comfort and mobility in some pets

Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can be a great addition to a pet's care plan, depending on their individual needs.

A big thank-you to Milo for being such a good boy during his visits! Give this handsome, fluffy guy some love in the comments! 💙🐾

🐾 Meet Becca! 🐾

Looking every bit the proper lady, Becca recently visited us for a blood pressure check and was the perfect patient! 💕

Did you know that stress and excitement can affect blood pressure readings in pets, just like in people? That's why we sometimes bring our patients to our cozy "comfort room," where they can relax with a soft blanket away from the sights and sounds of the busy hospital.

Becca did an amazing job staying calm, sitting still, and taking her appointment in stride. She was a wonderful example of why a relaxed environment can help us get the most accurate results possible.

Great job, Becca! We think you deserve an extra treat for being such a good girl. 🐾❤️

🐾 Meet Barf! 🐾

This silly, social, and playful indoor kitty recently visited us for deworming after his family noticed what looked like tiny "grains of rice" around the house. Before long, they realized those little grains were actually moving!

Tapeworms can shed small segments that often look like grains of rice and may be found on bedding, furniture, rugs, or around the litter box. While checking the litter box isn't anyone's favorite chore, it can be an important way to spot health concerns early.

A common misconception is that indoor cats are completely protected from parasites. Even indoor kitties can be exposed to worms, fleas, and ticks. That's why we recommend year-round parasite prevention to help keep your feline friends healthy and free of any unwanted guests.

Way to go, Barf's family, for catching the signs early and getting him the care he needed! ❤️🐱

🐾 Is Your Pet in Pain? 🐾

Our pets can’t tell us when something hurts, and many are experts at hiding their pain. That’s why it’s important to pay attention to changes in their normal behaviour.

Some signs that your pet may be experiencing pain include:

🐶 Reluctance to move, climb stairs, jump, or play
🐱 Hiding more than usual or becoming less social
🐾 Changes in appetite or sleeping habits
🐶 Whining, vocalizing, or seeming restless
🐱 Changes in grooming habits
🐾 Licking or chewing at a particular area
🐶 Difficulty getting comfortable or changing positions
🐱 Changes in posture, walking, or activity level

Sometimes the signs can be subtle, and what may look like your pet simply “slowing down” could actually be a sign of discomfort.

If you notice changes in your pet’s behaviour or mobility, don’t assume it’s just part of getting older. Pain is not a normal part of aging, and there may be ways we can help. ❤️

If you’re concerned about your pet, give us a call at 506-382-0061l. 🐾

Sweet Ellie has been coming to see Dr. Fralic for acupuncture and therapeutic laser treatments to help keep her comfortable, mobile, and enjoying life to the fullest. 🐾

And of course, one of Ellie’s favourite parts of her treatments is her puppy massage! Dr. Fralic always gives her a gentle massage during her acupuncture session, and Ellie settles right in and completely relaxes. 🥰

Ellie’s brother Sam also joins her for his treatments, and these two are always happy to see Dr. Fralic!

Every pet is different, but acupuncture can be a great option for helping manage pain, supporting mobility, and promoting overall comfort and wellness.

Interested in learning if acupuncture could be a good option for your pet? Give us a call at 506-382-0061 to book a consultation with Dr. Fralic and discuss your pet’s individual needs.
