Happy RVT Week!

Behind every calm patient, every successful procedure, and every pet who leaves our clinic feeling a little better, there is often an RVT working quietly behind the scenes.

Our RVTs do so much more than many people realize - they comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, care for hospitalized pets, assist with procedures, educate clients, catch the little things others might miss, and support the entire veterinary team every single day.

But beyond the skills and knowledge, it’s the compassion they bring to every patient that makes such a difference. They care for our patients as if they were their own ❤️

To our RVTs: thank you for the long days, the difficult moments, the happy endings, and all the little things you do that often go unnoticed. Your dedication makes a difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our entire team.

We are so lucky to have you ❤️

Halloween is creeping into South Peel! 👻

We all love to decorate and celebrate this time of year, so we added a few spooky touches around the clinic!

But we want to know… how are your pets celebrating Halloween?

Does your pet have a Halloween costume?
Do they love or hate the spooky decorations?
Are they joining you for trick-or-treating from the couch?
Or do they just want to know where the treats are?

Share a photo of your pet in their Halloween spirit in the comments, and with your permission, we will post the pictures on our page!

From our South Peel family to yours, thank you for letting us be part of your pets’ journey.

Thanksgiving is almost here!

We’re all looking forward to gathering with family, enjoying good food, and spending time together. And, of course, our pets are usually more than happy to join the celebration!
But Thanksgiving foods can also bring some unexpected hazards for our furry family members.

We always recommend keeping these foods away from your pets:
🐾Fatty or greasy foods
🐾Turkey skin and large amounts of table scraps
🐾Cooked bones
🐾Onions, garlic and certain spices
🐾Grapes and raisins
🐾Desserts or foods containing xylitol

If your pet manages to sneak something they shouldn’t, don’t wait for symptoms to appear before asking for advice. Contact your veterinarian or a pet poison service to find out what to do next. If your pet develops repeated vomiting, severe or bloody diarrhea, weakness, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, seizures, or other concerning symptoms, seek veterinary care promptly.

Let’s keep the Thanksgiving celebration fun, safe, and enjoyable for everyone - including our four-legged family members!

🐾 What’s Your Pet’s Fall Personality? 🐾

Fall is officially here!
And we want to know… which fall personality does your pet have?

🍂 The Leaf Chaser - Must attack every leaf that moves.
🎃 The Pumpkin Inspector - Sniffs everything.
🧣 The Blanket Burrito - Will not be leaving the couch until spring.
🥧 The Treat Thief - Somehow always knows when food is nearby.
🌧️ The “Absolutely Not” - Rain? Outside? You must be joking.
🐿️ The Squirrel Watcher - Has a very important job and takes it seriously.
