We are shocked that Bubba is still waiting for his forever home!🥺

This handsome 8-year-old boy would make a wonderful addition to any family!

Senior cats have so much love to give, but they're so often overlooked. If you’re looking for an incredibly affectionate, gentle, devoted companion who will happily curl up in your lap and soak up every ounce of love you have to give, Bubba may be your perfect match 💜

Bubba is in diabetic remission and he must remain on a special diet. To help him find the a loving home, we are sponsoring his adoption fee and the cost of his prescription food for at least six months.

It is believed that Bubba will get along with dogs and other cats as long as they have a slow and proper introduction.

Beautiful Thelma is settling into her new life so well! 💕

This 10-year-old girl was adopted in June from Dogwood Animal Rescue with the assistance of our Sponsorship Program.

Thelma is loving being the only pet and getting to do everything on her terms!

She’s also proving to be wonderful company for her adopter, and we couldn’t be happier to see her so content in her forever home 🥰

Say hello to Taz! ✨

This beautiful 8-year-old orange girl is looking for a forever home with someone who will appreciate her big personality and give her the time she needs to settle in. She would like to be the only pet in her future home.

Taz loves head and chin scratches, enjoys being groomed, and has a soft side that shines through when she feels comfortable and safe. She can become overstimulated at times, so she's searching for a patient adopter who will learn her body language, respect her boundaries, and let their bond grow at her pace 💜

Taz is currently under the care of Dogwood Animal Rescue. With the amount of change Taz has been through, she has been understandably stressed. She is currently taking anxiety medication once per day. This may not be needed in the future, but her adopters must be committed to administering it for the time being.

Happy Caturday from Sq**rt!

13-year-old Sq**rt enjoys spending the weekend at the cottage and making the most of every minute. Although he has very minimal vision, he especially enjoys sitting with his mom on the balcony where he can soak in the sun, enjoy the fresh scents, and hear all the sounds ☀️⛵🌸🕊

Myla is still waiting to be adopted 💔

At about 9 years young, Myla has so much love to give! Once she feels safe, she absolutely melts for head scratches, belly rubs, and quiet companionship. She also loves being up high where she can peacefully supervise the world from her favourite cozy perch.

Myla's owner fell ill and was heartbreakingly not able to return home. Myla deserves a family who will give her the second chance she's been waiting for!

To help make adopting more accessible, we're sponsoring Myla's adoption fee, plus her annual wellness exam and core vaccinations for life through our Sponsorship Program 🐾

As far as we know, Myla gets along well with other cats. She has not been tested with dogs.

Introducing Bubba! 🐾

This senior gentleman is incredibly affectionate and never turns down pets, cuddles, or lap time. Whether he's curled up beside you or stretched out across your lap, this gentle boy is happiest when he's sharing his love with the people he cares about 💜

Bubba is currently under the care of Dogwood Animal Rescue and is available for adoption.

Bubba is in remission for diabetes, so he will need to remain on his veterinarian-prescribed diet for life.

Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day! 🐈‍⬛💜

Black cats are incredible companions, yet they are often overlooked in shelters. They tend to have lower adoption rates and can spend longer waiting for a family than cats of other colours.

Senior black cats face an even bigger challenge, as both their age and coat colour can make it harder for them to find homes.

That's why we're especially proud to have played a part in helping four wonderful senior black cats in our sponsorship program find loving families: Freya, Snook, Milo, and Miss Kitty. 🖤

Purrfect Seniors founders, Rhonda and Hailey, also adopted their own black cat, Indie, in 2021. She's smart, playful, endlessly entertaining, and a constant reminder that black cats absolutely rock!

Today, we're celebrating all the beautiful black cats who deserve to be seen, loved, and given the chance to shine. 🐈‍⬛✨

We’re celebrating another senior cat adoption 🐾

A few weeks ago, sweet 9-year-old Lizzie found her forever home through SALT Rescue. This adoption happened quietly behind the scenes as Lizzie’s adopter found her before we even had a chance to announce her sponsorship.

We find it incredibly heartwarming that Lizzie’s adopter specifically sought out a cat with special needs. Lizzie has diabetes, and we’re so happy to see her go home to a family that will take great care of her!

Lizzie is settling in wonderfully and is so loved. We couldn’t be happier for this special girl! 💜
