K9-Chi Helping Those In Need

K9-Chi Helping Those In Need K-9 Chi is a state of mind devoted to advocating for animals who have gone unnoticed, have been abus Welcome to K-9 Chi! It can’t happen with just one person.

In Chinese Medicine "Chi" is the term for universal energy, or the energy that permeates everything around us. The name K-9 Chi was chosen to symbolize the energy which flows between us and our K-9's. K-9 Chi is a state of mind devoted to advocating for those who have gone unnoticed, have been abused, abandon, are sick and need US to give them a chance at life. Our goal is to promote the care, wel

fare, safety and security of all dogs by raising awareness and highlighting needs in the local area where you can help, volunteer, or donate. The goal here is to unify our resources to support and give unwanted and neglected animals a second chance at life. Together the goal of saving lives is attainable and by doing it locally means our efforts are 100% identifiable. Our Motto: Every Life Matters... Every bit of support helps. Our Inspiration:

K-9 Chi is inspired by the love, the life and the loss of our beloved Zeus who compelled us to reach past ordinary into the realm of extraordinary LOVE. This group is dedicated to all the one’s we have lost and the ones we have rescued and love Zeus, Pebbles, Riley and Junior and little Hera without you there would be no K-9 Chi. Through helping and giving a voice to those who can't help themselves, we heal our own lives and hearts. Let us show you how you can help, when you see an animal in need and you read their story, we will help connect you with a way to make an immediate change to the outcome of life for that dog. There are many compassionate people out there with big hearts, just like us and just like you. The more people who are aware, the more they will want to help

Please Like and Share all you wish and invite anyone this group is for all of us.

UPDATE ON LUCY THE ELEPHANT - EDMONTON VALLEY ZOO

Free The Wild's Co-founder, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne has been in constant contact with Edmonton Valley Zoo's administration and Edmonton Council over the last few months and we feel that some further clarity on Lucy's case is a must for our followers and Lucy's advocates.

We've uploaded a short press release on our website for those interested in Lucy's case, the current state of affairs surrounding Edmonton Valley Zoo and her stay there.
https://www.freethewild.org/lucy-the-elephant

Our offer to have an unbiased team of elephant experts visit and assess Lucy is still on the table.

Thank you all for your continued support and your ongoing commitment to Lucy's well-being.

Wishing you a fantastic week ahead.

https://www.facebook.com/266382433846058/posts/1109149859569307/?d=n

Daboo is a baby Asian Black Bear that was taken from his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers in Azad Kashmir Neelam Valley, Pakistan.

His short life has been chaotic and torturous - his mother was killed, he was taken from the wild, his ears were crudely clipped and glued to the sides of his head and he ended up being taken away from his only saviour and placed into Lahore Zoo.

Over the last few weeks however, FTW has been working closely with Critters Ark welfare Organization founder, Anila Umair - who's worked on his freedom since the day he left the poachers' hands - and Lahore Zoo Deputy Director, Kiran Saleem to come to an agreement in having the bear transferred.

We were able to make a success of his release with the help of our amazing friends in Pakistan - and we need to say a very special thank you to Rauf Klasra, Amir Mateen, BBC Urdu and associated press, the legislative lawyers working to secure his freedom, Animal Justice Welfare group for creating his petition, Lahore Zoo Deputy Director, Kiran Saleem for her support and, most of all, to Anila Umair for her unwavering determination to get Daboo to safety ❤️

We are officially over halfway to our $30K fundraising goal for the elephants in Karachi!

We were incredibly lucky when working with Kaavan to have received a large anonymous donation that allowed us to quickly reach our target, but with COVID still causing issues around the world, these donations are harder to come by.

If you know someone looking to make an impact, please refer them to us so that we can continue working to end the suffering of wild animals in captivity. Humans can learn to adapt to our environments, but animals held in cages have no choice and nowhere to go.

With your help, we can work together to improve their lives or find them more suitable homes. Every donation counts.

Please consider making a donation towards the Karachi Campaign so that we can ensure a long and healthy life for the four African elephants currently held in Karachi Zoo and Karachi Safari Park.

https://www.freethewild.org/karachi-campaign

Thank you to everyone whose already donated - your support means the world to us and, without you, animals like Kaavan and Vishwa would still be in chains.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday ❤️

Currently, Free The Wild is raising funds to treat four African elephants in Karachi that need immediate medical attention. Urgent Appeal to help the Karachi Elephants

Time is of the essence.

Please help us urgently with any donations to cover the costs of sending an expert medical team to Karachi as soon as possible. We also need to fund the expensive shipping of specialist medical equipment such as portable X-ray machines, tranquilliser guns, scales and more to do certified examinations and tests on these very ill elephants. We also need to fund medication and treatments, including prescription antibiotics, pain-killers and anaesthetics. There are logistical issues and costs that we simply cannot cover without your help and support.

Please don’t look away. Please help us, help them.

Malaika and Sonu are two African elephants that spend their lives in chains, confined to tiny cement enclosures in Karachi Safari Park, Pakistan. Their lack of space has led to potentially life-threatening medical conditions that need immediate attention.

FTW Litigator, Owais Awan has been in discussions with the Karachi government and the owners of the Karachi Safari Park and we can confirm that we're making progress!

Your signatures are helping raise awareness and we've been given the green light to administer medical care 🎉

Look out for more information coming soon!

Two African elephants in Karachi, Pakistan, urgently need help.

Malaika and Sonu are chained at their feet 15 hours a day and have developed cracked nails, swollen legs and potential foot rot. Their discomfort is so extreme that they've been seen standing on three legs. If their symptoms aren't relieved soon, these issues could very quickly become life threatening.

Please sign our petition to help us raise awareness of their suffering, and leverage our voices to initiate change. If we're able to show the Karachi Government that we have your support, we're more likely to see a positive outcome for Malaika and Sonu. Please, sign today: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/973/437/630/malaika-and-sonu-elephants-in-karachi%E2%80%99s-safari-park-need-urgent-medical-attention/

A plan of action is underway to provide veterinary care and, if possible, we're seeking for the elephants to find a new home. More updates to come.

Thank you to all of the amazing supporters who've made donations so far this year - you're giving us the resources to take action for those who suffer in silence!

If you'd like to help make a difference in 2021, please consider a small donation to Free The Wild: www.freethewild.org/donate
