A little Wild West fun to wrap up another great week of camp! 🤠🐴

Our campers and ponies went all in for Western Day at Friday’s showcase. Boots, bandanas, cowboy hats and some very patient ponies made for a pretty great afternoon. 🌵✨

Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer on our riders!

Pacific Romance “Mabel”
14-year-old • 16.2hh • Bay Mare • CSHA Registered
By A Fine Romance out of a crossbred mare

Mabel is a talented, competitive jumper looking for a rider and family of her own.

Mabel had a later start to her riding career after beginning life as a broodmare. She has since gained experience in dressage, hunters and jumpers. She recently competed in the 3’6” Trillium Hunters, has been Champion in the 0.90m Silver Jumpers, and has earned good ribbons in the 1.0m and 1.10m divisions, including the Silver Grand Prix. She is currently schooling 1.20m at home.

Mabel is a quick-thinking, forward ride with a big step, but is not strong. She is sensitive and does best with a quiet, soft rider who is tactful with their aids. She is exceptionally brave and puts 110% into anything asked of her. She happily works in the ring or hacks out and does have some quirks that make her best suited to a knowledgeable rider.

Mabel is barefoot and can live in or out. She prefers living out, particularly through the summer, but settles well living in when needed.

Mabel is looking for her own person and family and is not suited to returning to a school program. With the right match, she has all the ingredients to be a very competitive and rewarding show partner.

Due to today’s heavy rain, we will delay the start of tomorrow’s show (Monday August 3rd) until 10:00 AM. This will allow the competition rings additional time to drain and provide the best possible footing for horses and riders.

Show Office Open: 8:00 AM
Hunter Warm-Up: 9:30 AM
Jumper Course Walk: Any time before 10:00 AM

This month’s feature class is the Damshacuir Thoroughbred Classic, proudly sponsored by Jim Rion Inc.

🏇 Riders can compete at their own division height starting at 2’0, while experiencing one of our most unique classes. The course begins in the lower sand ring before travelling up the staircase to finish in the upper grass concourse, creating a memorable derby-style experience.

Formal show attire is requested for this special class.

A few important reminders for exhibitors and families:

• ESM time estimates do not account for open card equitation classes or division warm-ups and are therefore not accurate for our shows, especially in the lower sand ring. Please check in regularly with your ring’s in-gate stewards for the most accurate timing updates.

• Please check all attending horses’ temperatures the night before and the morning of the show. Resting temperature should not exceed 38.6°C. If any horses at your barn—whether showing or non-showing—have an elevated temperature, please do not bring any horses to the show.

• Parking attendants will be on site in the morning to direct cars and trailers. Please cooperate with attendants to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

• Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the owner’s own risk. Please p**p and scoop.

• The show office and food booth are cash/cheque only. Internet service is limited.

• Our show series is generously run by an incredible team of volunteers, including office staff and in-gate attendants. Please show your appreciation and remember to be kind.
