Wysiwyg Coral farming tech
Growing corals is only a small piece of being a successful coral farmer. One of the big portions of it is also how you organize and present these corals so you can sell them. Here is a small peak at what we do in house at reef wholesale, and what your LFS SHOULD be doing to organize their frags so they can offer wysiwyg or so that when you come in to your LFS you can clearly see the names and prices of all the corals they have for sale.

Glass + Hammer + paint scraper = ok maybe just one more tank…..
Pulling out some old corner guards as the silicone was getting a bit tired. The corner guard were pushed in a bit too far so you couldn’t get a razor between them and the glass. Fresh glass rods coming soon for the corners!

Hand fed murder sausage (known as a mantis shrimp) is off to a good home at Firehouse Pets in Lucan (north of London Ontario)
When he came to us he had destruction and mayhem on his mind. Now all the staff want to say good bye as they have been hand feeding him.

Corals eating corals!
Everything is fighting for space on the reef.
These corals have been in exactly these spots for months and the other night this orange crush acan echinata decided that it simply was not nearly enough space around it so it put out its mesenterial and killed its neighbours. In this case the majority of the damage was done to a montipora that we have had for 3-4 years now. This monti was been stalled out for a long time and we recently raised the rubidium to 350 and it finally started growing, only to meet its untimely demise from this acan.
Never keep corals just to yourself. Always share backs ups with your friends and have a “vault” for when something goes sideways

Arrow crabs are know for eating bristle worms which is why we keep them in our anemone tanks where we feed heavily.
But I think he met his match!!
