Walking with your dog shouldn’t be a hassle or make you want to sigh at the thought… it’s a time you should be able to relax and clear your mind; being present with the moment and your pup. That’s why teaching them how to walk with you properly, whether on leash or off, is essential. This can be achieved through consistency over time and clear expectations! This is just a short snippet of Olive, 9m old, and my personal assistant / bestie Yeager, who is only 1.5yo. Off leash walking in a relaxed heel position from the park back to home.
I should also note that Olive use to not even want to walk down the street (she would just stop moving), and would try to pull all the way back home.
(Ps. Yes they still technically have a leash on but it is connecting them together for safety reasons, I know what to expect from Yeager and how to keep him in control / safe but, Olive is still learning and could get spooked or try to chase something, etc. many possibilities. So Yeager prevents that and also boosts her confidence. I am not holding the leash and only use my voice to communicate)

Post Walk & Train session. Pure happiness. Exercise is KEY in having a happy- healthy pup. So is mental stimulation. That’s why the walk and train program works so well!! We get both done, resulting in a happier - less stressed pup. We always finish we some play to top it all off !

Simple stimulation for herding breeds when you’re out playing ball. And yes you can use a regular ball (chuckit, tennis, soccer, etc). Remember - Everything in moderation but, use this as an extra tool for burning off energy and stimulating their mind! This does not replace regular exercise & should not be the only form of mental stimulation for your dog. Play games, do training, or just try learning a fun trick with them! So many options- follow for more and/ or contact now for private training and a more in depth look at what you / your dog need!

Lunch time for a growing boy !! We do impulse training everyday. Wait for food, wait to go out the door, wait for me to get in the door first, etc. it’s crucial to do impulse control with any pup.
