I am still taking this in.
Last night, I was honoured to receive the Champion of Mental Health Award from CMHA Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge. And it was presented by my dear friend, Andrea OK Robin Skinner.💞
I am grateful to the six people who nominated me, and to CMHA HKPR for this meaningful recognition.
While the award was presented to me, it reflects something much bigger than one person. It belongs to the horses, to everyone who has come to Horse Discovery with openness, to our facilitators, friends, family, and the wider community that has helped shape this farm over the years.
🐴 The farm has been part of our family’s life for 25 years. It has supported us through our own ups and downs, and over time it grew into a place where others could slow down, connect, and simply be themselves.
🙏Thank you to my husband Paul and our sons for all they do behind the scenes, caring for the pastures, maintaining fencing, and helping keep this farm safe and welcoming. Thank you as well to Ingrid and Charlotte Brammer, who share the farm with their horses and offer FEEL sessions here.
I will share more soon about the work at Horse Discovery and why this recognition means so much.
For today, I simply want to say thank you.
If Horse Discovery, a horse, or a quiet place in nature has ever helped you feel more connected, I would love for you to share this post with someone who might need that reminder.
