The long weekend is almost here! Just a friendly reminder that we will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th for Labour Day 🍁

📆Our hours leading into the long weekend:
▪️Wednesday, September 2nd: 8 am to 8 pm
▪️ Thursday, September 3rd: 8 am to 8 pm
▪️ Friday, September 4th: 8 am to 6 pm
▪️Saturday/Sunday: Closed
▪️Monday, September 7th: Closed

💊Please plan ahead! If your pet needs prescription medications, food or other supplies going into the long weekend, we encourage you to place your order as early as possible so you're not caught short over the weekend 🐾

💉🐾August is Vaccine Awareness Month!🐾💉

Vaccines aren't just a yearly checkmark on your pet's to-do list - they're an important part of keeping our furry family members protected from diseases that can sometimes be serious or even life-threatening.

But... why do puppies and kittens need so many shots? And why do some vaccines need to be repeated? What about indoor-only pets? 🤔

Here are a few things pet parents may not know:

🐶 Puppies & kittens need a series of vaccines because antibodies they receive from mom can interfere with early vaccines. The series helps build reliable protection as their immune system develops.

🐱 Indoor pets can still benefit from vaccinations. Even pets who spend most of their time inside can have unexpected exposure to infectious diseases.

📆 Vaccines aren't necessarily "one size fits all". You pet's age, lifestyle, previous vaccine history, and risk of exposure all play a role in deciding what protection makes sense for them.

And perhaps the most important part....

💜 Vaccination is about Prevention. We'd much rather help your pet stay healthy than have to treat a disease that could have been prevented.
