Too funny not to share. The puppies love little people… especially Lienna lol
Do we think she’s ready for more puppies before Christmas?🤭

✨ PUPPIES EXPECTED EARLY DECEMBER! ✨

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a beautiful litter from V Lana de Beau Reve “Lilah” × Oxford Hudson Theodore “Hudson” in early December! 🐾🤍

After a lot of thought, we made the decision to breed Lilah on this consecutive heat rather than waiting another cycle. While people sometimes assume that skipping a heat is automatically healthier, that isn’t necessarily the case for every female. When a mature, healthy female has recovered well from her previous litter and is in excellent body condition, breeding on consecutive cycles can sometimes be a reasonable reproductive choice. Each heat exposes the uterus to hormonal changes whether or not a pregnancy occurs, so simply skipping a cycle does not necessarily give the uterus the “rest” people often imagine it does.

Lilah is in beautiful condition and has recovered wonderfully from her last litter. Her health and wellbeing will always come first. ❤️ After this litter, she will be getting a long, well-deserved break before we consider any future plans for her.

This litter is also extra special because it will be our last Rocky Reign Goldens litter for quite some time. We don’t anticipate having another litter until 2028, so we are going to soak up every minute with these little ones. 🥹🐶

We are incredibly excited to see what Lilah and Hudson produce together and can’t wait to share this journey with everyone.

V Lana de Beau Reve × Oxford Hudson Theodore
🐾 Expected: Early December 2026
Take home date: Early February

More bad news at Rocky Reign Acres

We were so excited to have a first litter off our Chloe, but instead had to face a life or death situation for Chloe last evening. Chloe had to have an emergency spay and is recovering well. Hopefully this is the end of our bad luck streak 😞
Pictured is our sweet Chloe and my sweet Lienna at Eagleson emergency vet last night

I also had to do this all alone with a two year old who stayed awake the entire time (til 3 am!) 🥱

Still can’t believe we were unable to save Jenny and her unborn baby. She was 6.5 months into her pregnancy and I was so excited 😞
I guess sometimes these things just happen for unknown reasons. RIP my sweet girl ❤️

Welcoming “Oxford Hudson Theodore” to our family today. This sugar faced sweetie is a very kind, calm and gentle soul.
He came from the same owner as Chloe so him and Chloe got to reunite today! We love this big handsome fella! 🥰
Thanks to my mom for helping me make the 12 hour trek to pick him up! Penny Armstrong
