Bon retour à la maison, Laura
Une histoire digne d’un film… mais qui s’est passée juste ici.
Cette histoire avait pourtant commencé bien différemment.
Notre patrouilleur animalier avait été envoyé suite à une demande d’abandon. Une intervention pleines d’émotions, où l’on voit un animal quitter une famille qu’il aime malgré tout.
Mais à son arrivée au refuge, tout a basculé.
Comme pour chaque animal, Laura a été scannée pour vérifier la présence d’une micropuce.
Bip.
Une micropuce.
Un nom… qui ne correspondait pas du tout à la personne qui venait de l’abandonner.
Laura n’était pas un chien qu’on venait d’abandonner.
Elle était un chien qu’on venait de retrouver… quatre ans après sa disparition.
Après vérification, l’équipe découvre que Laura avait été perdue en octobre 2022.
Quatre ans.
Quatre ans où elle vivait loin du quartier où elle avait disparu, loin de sa famille qui avait mis des affiches partout et publié sa disparition sur les réseaux sociaux.
Une simple vérification dans un refuge ou une clinique vétérinaire aurait permis de scanner sa micropuce… et de la ramener à ceux qui l’attendaient encore.
Nous avons immédiatement contacté la personne inscrite sur la micropuce.
Elle a confirmé la disparition de leur bien-aimée labrador quatre ans plus tôt, bouleversée d’apprendre que Laura était vivante… dans nos locaux et enfin retrouvée.
Aujourd’hui, grâce à la micropuce, Laura retourne là où elle appartient vraiment.

A story worthy of a movie… but it happened right here.
This story, however, began very differently.
Our animal patrol officer was dispatched following a surrender request. An emotional intervention, where we witnessed an animal leaving a family it loved despite everything.
But upon arriving at the shelter, everything changed.
As with every animal, Laura was scanned to check for a microchip.
Beep.
A microchip.
A name… that didn't match the person who had just surrendered her at all.
Laura wasn't a dog that had just been surrendered.
She was a dog that had just been found… four years after she disappeared.
After checking, the team discovered that Laura had been lost in October 2022.
Four years.
For four years, she lived far from the neighborhood where she disappeared, far from her family who had put up posters everywhere and shared her disappearance on social media.
A simple check at a shelter or veterinary clinic would have allowed them to scan her microchip… and return her to those who were still waiting for her.
We immediately contacted the person registered on the microchip.
They confirmed the disappearance of their beloved Labrador four years earlier, overwhelmed to learn that Laura was alive… in our care and finally found.
Today, thanks to the microchip, Laura is returning to where she truly belongs.
