This rope toy has been loved, tugged, chewed, tossed, and played with by so many daycare dogs, and somehow, it just keeps going! 😂

💔 He’s been waiting for someone to choose him.

This handsome 5-year-old, 45 lb boy has spent more than half his life in a shelter. He’s still waiting for the day someone finally says, “You’re coming home with me.”

This is the kind of tired I LOVE to see!

Not frantic.
Not bouncing off the walls.
Not completely overstimulated.

Just… happy, content, fulfilled, and ready for a nap. ❤️

After a day of daycare, your dog should be able to relax while they wait for you to arrive, because they’ve had the right balance of intentional play, social time, individual attention, and rest.

I don’t believe in keeping dogs going just for the sake of keeping them busy.

I believe in knowing when to play, when to engage, when to let them just be dogs, and most of all, when to REST.

Because the goal isn’t to wear your dog out at any cost.

The goal is to send them home happy and satisfied, not hyper, overtired, and overstimulated.

And if this is what your pup looks like waiting for you to arrive......

I'd say they had a pretty great day.

Meet Stormy!

Stormy is a one-year-old, 35 lb sweetheart who is looking for her forever home, and I just know her special person is out there waiting for her. 🥰

Stormy is a happy, curious girl with so much personality! She loves chasing a ball, enjoying tasty treats, rolling around in the grass, and chewing on her toys (although she has managed to destroy a few along the way 😅 ).

She has a playful, energetic side and would really love the chance to run and burn off some energy safely so an active family is a must!

Stormy is also still very much a young dog learning the ways of the world. So she'll need someone patient who understands that she is still learning appropriate manners and boundaries. ❤️

She is very curious about her surroundings and pays close attention to everything around her. When she hears a sound, she will stop and look toward it, taking everything in.

Stormy is looking for a loving forever home where she can continue learning, playing, exploring, and being the best girl she can be.
