After 5 weeks, 240 cases and a whole lot of classes, our Deal or No Deal challenge has officially wrapped up!

Our top contender, KENT, had one final decision to make from the banker (ME! 😈). Accept my offer of a guaranteed 20-class pack valued at $252, or take his chances on the combined cash value of his three cases.

And Kent said DEAL, walking away with 20 classes! 🎉

✨ 1,000 CLASSES ✨

Yesterday we got to celebrate a pretty incredible Kollektiv milestone. 🥲

Sherri is officially member #01 of our 1000 Club. 🤩

A thousand classes is so much more than a number. It is years of showing up, making time, building a routine, choosing yourself and somehow still walking through the door with the same smile and positive energy.

Anyone who has shared a class with Sherri knows exactly the kind of person she is. Kind, genuine, encouraging and always such a joy to have in the room. She is one of those people who helps make Kollektiv feel like Kollektiv. 🥰

Sherri, thank you for being part of this community for all these years and for showing us what consistency can look like when it is built around something you truly enjoy.

As we’ve been thoughtfully looking at our fall schedule and trying to build something that works well for our community, we noticed something pretty significant in our booking reports.

We wanted to pull back the curtain a little, because our goal is always to offer our Kollektiv community as much as we can, as thoughtfully as we can.

This isn’t a scolding post or a finger wag. Just a little perspective on what we see behind the scenes.

On an average week at Kollektiv, we see approximately:

120 to 140 EARLY cancellations
20 to 30 LATE cancellations
Plus additional no shows

140 early cancellations alone is the equivalent of SEVEN completely full classes worth of reservations changing hands every week. 🤯

That amount of movement makes it harder to see true demand.

A class can look full with a waitlist several days out, then have open bikes or mats by class time. That can create what are essentially “false waitlists.”

People see a long waitlist, assume they won’t get in and make other plans. Then spots open later.

It also makes schedule planning tricky. We’re often asked if we’ll be adding more classes, and we’re always looking at where that makes sense. But with this much turnover, it can be difficult to know what demand really looks like.

Early cancelling is absolutely better than late cancelling or not showing up. This is simply a reminder to book intentionally whenever you can.

Take ALL the classes you genuinely want to take. But if you’re holding several classes as options and already know you likely won’t attend them all, releasing those spots earlier can make a bigger difference than you may realize.

It helps others plan, gives us a clearer picture of demand and helps us build the best possible schedule for the Kollektiv community.
