In person registration is on Sunday, September 13 anytime between 12-4 at the club. Please bring payment (cash or cheque please) and your pups vaccination records.

“Saturday, August 22 saw 11 individuals and their canine companions brave the heat to participate in the Agility Fun Day held at the Gas City Dog Club - Outdoor Training area.
The teams came with varying levels of knowledge and expertise with some experiencing an agility course for the first time! Each team ran the 16-obstacle course twice - with a noticeable improvement in both time and skill level on each second run. Whatever the skill level, everyone had a GREAT TIME before surrendering to the heat and heading home to cool off and have a good rest!
Special thanks to Sterling for guiding the new teams, keeping the day organized with the running order, giving feedback on the course and doing the timekeeping - we couldn't do this without him! Also special thanks to Andy and Sandie for helping with set up and clean up and to the participants who helped put the equipment away. Special thanks to Andy who stayed to ensure the irrigation system was re-set.
The next fun day will be a Rally Obedience Fun Day on September 12, 2026 in the outdoor area . To register, call Sterling at 403-526-6779. Hope to see you there!”

We are planning an Agility fun day in our outdoor space on Saturday, August 22 starting at 10:00. $10 drop in fee per dog. Cash please.

Bring your own chair and water for you and your dog.

The Gas City Dog Club is anon-profit organization that provides training classes in a variety of areas, including obedience, agility, and socialization.

“A Rally Obedience Fun Day was held at Gas City Dog Club - Outdoor Training area on July 4, 2026. The weather co-operated giving us a beautiful day - sun with the occasional cloud and a slight breeze at times - but by noon, the sun was out and the summer heat was there. Then, it was time for sun hats, bug spray, shade and a well-deserved rest for dog and handler alike!
A total of 12 dog/handler teams registered for the event - some staying for just one or two runs of the course and some staying the entire time and getting in 3 runs through the course. The course itself was modelled after a Rally Obedience Level 1 - UKC Course that was used in a Gas City Dog Club registered UKC trial several years ago. After each round was completed by all the dog/handler teams, several of the static exercise signs were changed for the next round to give some variety to each run through the course.
The outdoor venue provided many distractions - delicious smells in the grass, trains going by, traffic on industrial avenue, and unfamiliar dogs and handlers in the outdoor area. It was a fun time - enjoyed by all who attended.
Special thanks to Andy who helped set up the equipment , to Sterling for keeping the event organized and running smoothly, and to the several participants who stayed to clean up after the event!
