Well, it's been a very busy past two days! I'm not done yet, but OMG, what a difference these shelves have made.

And do you want to know something? Out of the mess some of you saw in my other post, so far I've only found one expired can. Technically it's still considered safe since it's less than a year past the date, but I was honestly not surprised as I have trusted places i received donations from.

I'm sorry to everyone who saw the mess. Trust me, that's not normally how things are. The last two donations included a huge amount of canned food, and I got completely overwhelmed by the boxes and ended up just piling everything in.

I'm beyond grateful to everyone who has been positive, supportive, and helped me through the negativity. I hope you all know that I'm doing this to help animals, and I would never knowingly do anything that could hurt them or make them sick.

Stay tuned for the final photos, because it's nowhere near done yet! ❤️

Ah, slowly but surely we're getting there! 👏

A huge thank you to the wonderful lady who donated the shelves. They are already making a huge difference and helping me get more organized.
It's been a few years since I've stocked shelves, and I forgot just how much I hate doing it! 😂 Between trying to organize everything and follow FIFO, it's definitely a challenge with the limited space im working with.
That said, seeing everything come together and become easier to access for the pets and families we help makes it worth it. One shelf at a time, we're getting there! 🐾

Wet Food Overload! 🧡

Hey friends,

I recently received a huge donation of wet food from Pet Valu. I am incredibly thankful for their support, but I have run into a bit of a problem!

I'm in desperate need of a way to store it so that:

1. It doesn't get forgotten about or go unused before it can be distributed.
2. I can actually see what I have. With my ADHD, if I can't see it, it basically doesn't exist!

I hate to ask, but canned food takes up a lot of space and is much harder to move and organize than bags of dry food. I'm hoping someone may have some sturdy shelving they no longer need, or ideas for affordable storage solutions that can handle the weight of canned food.

Also, with the amount of wet food I currently have and how low I am on dry food, please keep in mind that if you are requesting assistance, I may only have wet food available at this time. When filling out the form, please make sure to select that you can use wet food if it would help your pets.

While I am incredibly grateful for all the wet food, we are currently running very low on dry food. #1 Large bags of dog food, #2 cat litter are our biggest needs at the moment. If anyone is able to donate any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated.
