Calix was not thriving in the shelter atmosphere so he is now hanging out with some big dogs, kids and a foster mom. He is playful, cuddly and the quietest kitten the foster home has ever had!

Mango is just as sweet as the fruit she’s named after! This lovable girl absolutely adores her two-legged friends and thrives on human companionship—whether you’re young or young at heart, Mango is ready to be your biggest fan.

She’s currently working on building her confidence around other dogs and is making steady progress, but her heart truly belongs to people. Her joy is contagious—despite her smaller size, Mango’s excitement fills the room, and her full-body wiggles are guaranteed to make you smile. She’s learning to keep all four paws on the ground when greeting her favorite humans, and with a calm, patient family, she’ll continue to improve beautifully.

Mango walks nicely on a leash and is highly food motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. She’s eager to learn and loves having a job to do—especially if treats are involved!

Having raised at least one litter of puppies, Mango has shown incredible devotion as a mom. Because of her past, she can still be protective around food with other dogs and may occasionally show signs that she spent a bit too long in survival mode. With understanding and consistency, she continues to grow more secure every day.

Now it’s Mango’s turn to be cared for. She’s ready to leave her past behind and soak up all the love, comfort, and attention she truly deserves.

This sniff patrol went out to explore the wilderness this afternoon with a volunteer they were excellent passengers in the vehicle and hiking partners, never straying too far and always checking in.

The pup that was found yesterday in Meadow Lake, tested positive for parvo virus.
Please be vigilant with having your animals up to date on their vaccinations. Parvo virus can be fatal in puppies & immunocompromised dogs.
