Sometimes you gotta go back to groundwork. I’ve rode this guy but wanted a lot more softness. When he first got here he was pushy on the halter and wouldn’t soften very quick. But after doing some groundwork working on lateral softness I introduced more of the vertical. It’s important to stay quiet throughout any resistance and eventually they will come around. I love these parts of training where it’s like a light goes on in their mind and they realize they can be soft. It’s amazing how you can control such a big animal with a light touch! Make a friend out of them and they will give you their heart 🤠

Two new boys in ! Little bit of ground work to get to know them and then adding some miles under their feet. They seem to be pretty nice horses so far!

Sam - first picture and Crash . I’d worked Sam years ago for a couple months and have rode him here and there over the years. Kinda cool riding a horse you put some time into and seeing them retain it all these years later! Thanks for the visit !
