At Bridle Trail Veterinary Clinic, we understand that veterinary visits can be emotional and stressful. When pets are unwell or emergencies arise, emotions can understandably run high.

Our team works hard every day to help as many patients as possible while still providing safe, compassionate, and thorough care. Unfortunately, there are times when we may not be able to accommodate additional urgent appointments due to staffing limitations, scheduling capacity, or the level of care and resources a patient may require.

If we recommend that your pet be seen at an emergency hospital, it is because we believe your pet deserves timely medical attention and access to the appropriate care. These recommendations are always made with your pet’s wellbeing in mind.

We kindly ask that all interactions with our team remain respectful. Disrespectful, aggressive, or abusive behaviour toward our staff will not be tolerated.

Thank you to the many clients who continue to support our team with kindness, patience, and understanding. Your compassion toward our staff means more than you know. 💚🐾

Some of you may start seeing a familiar face in a new role around the clinic.

Our wonderful VA, Alice, has officially started her veterinary technician co-op placement with us as part of the Sheridan Veterinary Technician program! Over the next few months, she’ll be working alongside and under the supervision of our BTVC RVTs while continuing to grow her skills and hands-on experience in veterinary medicine.

We’re so excited to support Alice during this next step in her journey and can’t wait to watch her continue to learn and thrive. 🐾

If you see Alice around the clinic, be sure to say hi and leave some words of encouragement for her in the comments below! ✨

Some heroes wear capes. Ours wear scrubs… and usually have fur on them 🐈🐕

Today, on World Veterinary Day, we celebrate the heart, grit, and quiet magic behind veterinary medicine. The long days, the tough calls, the happy tail wags, the tearful goodbyes, and every moment in between. Being part of your pet’s story is something we never take lightly.

To all DVMs, RVTs, veterinary assistants, and receptionists who shows up with compassion (and a pocket full of treats)… this day is for you.

And to our incredible clients, thank you for trusting us with your beloved companions. We’re honoured to be part of their care 🐾
