🐾 Beautiful art. A beautiful cause. 💚

We’re delighted to showcase the incredible talents and generosity of one of our valued clients, Sheri Caston of Caston Studio!

Sheri is an award-winning artist and art educator based in Unionville. She has created beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade artworks—including charming dog-themed ceramic dishes and watercolour art—now available for purchase at Village Animal Clinic.

💚 100% of your purchase goes directly to UDR—Underdog Railroad Rescue for Animals—to help animals in need.

Each piece is made with care using local Oakville clay and glazes, watercolour paints from Manitoulin Island’s Indigenous-owned Beam Paints, and watercolour paper from St Armand Papeterie in Quebec. The ceramics are food safe; handwashing is preferred.

Come visit the clinic, browse these lovely creations, and find something special for yourself or an animal lover in your life. Your purchase brings a little beauty home while making a difference for an animal in need. 🐶🎨

Thank you, Sheri, for sharing your talent and your big heart with our community! ❤️

🦃🍁 HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM VILLAGE ANIMAL CLINIC! 🐾❤️

This Thanksgiving, we're counting our blessings... and let's just say, we have a LOT of paws to count! 🐶🐱🐾

We're incredibly thankful for our wonderful clients and their furry family members who make every day at Village Animal Clinic so special.

❤️ THANK YOU for trusting us with your beloved pets, for your continued loyalty, and for allowing us to be part of their lives. Whether it's a wagging tail, a gentle purr, or the occasional dramatic protest during a nail trim (we're looking at you, Fluffy 👀), we wouldn't trade it for the world!

🍗 A little Thanksgiving reminder: While you're enjoying your turkey dinner, remember that not everything on your plate belongs in your pet's belly! Check out our Thanksgiving Pet Do's & Don'ts to keep those curious noses out of trouble.

From our Village Animal Clinic family to yours, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, full hearts, and plenty of tail wags! 🍂🧡

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🦃🐕🐈

P.S. If your dog stares at you through the entire Thanksgiving dinner, remember... that's not starvation. That's emotional manipulation. 😂🐾

Is your pet up to date on their vaccines? 🐾

🦇 There have been 281 confirmed cases of rabies in Canada in 2025. 🦝

Rabies is a deadly viral disease that affects both animals and humans. Once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal. The virus is most commonly spread through the bite or scratch of an infected wild animal, including bats, skunks, raccoons, and foxes.

The good news? Rabies is preventable with vaccination. Keeping your pet's rabies vaccine up to date is one of the best ways to protect them—and your family.

🔴⚪ Happy Canada Day from Village Animal Clinic! 🇨🇦✨

We hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, backyard barbecues, and long weekend festivities! While we love a good celebration, our furry family members might not be quite as thrilled about the big finale tonight. 🎆🐶🐱

To us, fireworks mean celebration. To our pets, those sudden loud booms can sound like a sci-fi alien invasion! Fireworks can cause a lot of anxiety and stress for our dogs and cats, so we want to make sure everyone stays safe and relaxed.

🐾 Quick Tips for a Stress-Free Night:
Create a Cozy Fort: Set up a secure "safe zone" in an interior room with their favorite blankets, bed, and toys.

Drown Out the Booms: Play some calming music, turn on a fan, or keep the TV background noise a little louder than usual to mask the sudden cracks outside.

Keep 'Em Indoors: Bring your pets inside well before the sun goes down, and make sure all windows and doors are securely shut.

Double-Check IDs: Spooked pets are prone to running away. Ensure collar tags are secure and your microchip contact details are completely up to date!

Let’s look out for our four-legged besties tonight so the whole family can have a wonderful, happy holiday. Have a fantastic and safe Canada Day, everyone! ❤️🐾
