Our Philosophy

Shake A Leg Petcare is all about safety, honesty, and fun! The safety of your pet is always our prime concern, no matter what the situation. For this reason, we do not take dogs off-leash, unless in an off-leash designated park, and with permission from the owners. We are always attentive to your dog's behaviour and health, and will immediately let you know if something doesn't seem right. We may find that a service we are providing isn't the right fit for your pet. If this occurs, we will inform you right away and work with you to find a solution that better suits your needs. Last but not least, we want your pets to have fun with us! We walk, feed, play fetch, cuddle -- whatever your pet needs to be happy. We can never take your place in your pet's eyes, but we can help them have fun when you can't be there. (read less)

Handsome older gentleman, Bauer, was here for a longer vacation with us recently and was such a good boy! He's an incredible 16.5 years old, so he did alot of sleeping while he was here - but he's still got a ton of s***k too! He also made sure to reserve some energy so that he could beg for food while I was eating lol! It was so lovely hanging out with this sweetie ❤️

🐾 New Rates Effective Oct 1, 2026 for current clients 🐾

At Shake A Leg Petcare, we're committed to providing a safe, fun, and enriching home away from home for every pup who walks through our doors.

As of October 1, 2026 for all CURRENT CLIENTS (new rates are already in effect for new clients as of Sept 1st), our updated daycare and boarding rates will come into effect. As many of my long-time clients know, I hate raising rates and have only done it twice in the almost 20 years I have been in business. But, once in a while, it has to be done! These changes allow us to continue offering the care, enrichment, and personalized attention your dogs deserve while investing in new services and improvements—including exciting additions like our new staff members, our Summer Treats Mini Bar, new activities for the dogs, our new online booking system, and a few upcoming kennel building upgrades! 🎉

We are so grateful for the trust you've placed in us to care for your four-legged family members, and we can't wait to continue making every stay a tail-wagging experience. 🐶

If you have any questions, we're always happy to help!

Thank you for being part of the Shake A Leg Petcare family. ❤️🐾

Little Abby came by for another mini vacation recently and was as adorable as ever ❤️ Because I'm a sucker, I ended up letting her come to the house with me to sleep lol! But how can you say no to that little face?! She had lots of fun exploring outside and hanging with the girls at the kennel during the day, and loved lounging at the house overnight obviously lol! Hope to see her again soon!

Pretty girl Maisie came for her first overnight recently and did so well! She has a little bit of separation anxiety, so I wasn't sure how she would do in the kennel the first time, but she was amazing and settled right in to lounge on her raised bed inside whenever we weren't doing play sessions. She even started coming out of her shell after the first day and played with some toys! It was so nice spending some time with her - hopefully we'll see her again soon! ❤️

Cuties Benny and Cooper have visited for a few vacations now and they're such good boys! ❤️ They LOVE playing outside and its so cute watching them bounce around together - they sometimes also like to play hard to get when it's time to go inside lol! But we've had some pretty nice weather lately, so who can blame them. They have some of the longest legs ever, too! Cooper is still a puppy, so I can't wait to see if he grows into those legs over time lol!

We welcomed handsome Fisher to the daycare gang recently and he has a ton of energy! He's such a happy go lucky guy and obviously loves all the different toys lol! We're slowly introducing Fisher to some new doggie friends as well, in small doses for now, since he definitely considers himself an irresistible stud muffin 😂 We're looking forward to hanging out more with him and helping to tire him out lol!
