🚨🇨🇦 B.C. Dog Attack Leads to Criminal Charge After Woman Suffers Life-Altering Injuries
A woman in Port Moody, B.C., suffered serious and reportedly life-altering injuries after she was allegedly mauled by two large dogs.
Police were called to the attack on May 20 after receiving reports that a woman had been seriously injured. She was taken to hospital for treatment, although authorities have not released specific details about the extent of her injuries.
According to investigators, the dogs had already been classified as aggressive by city officials before the incident. Police allege the animals were required to wear muzzles, but they were not wearing them when the attack occurred.
The B.C. Prosecution Service has now approved a charge of criminal negligence causing bodily harm against the dogs’ owner.
The case raises serious questions about how dangerous dogs are managed when authorities have already identified them as a potential risk.
What do you think — should owners face criminal charges when previously designated aggressive dogs attack someone while allegedly violating safety requirements?🤔
