Puppy playtime! These guys are loving being outside. We'd let them have full run of the acre yard but then we can't catch them all on video, lol. Check out Pink's bouncy run!

Week 5 Pupdate ~ These guys are so much fun and we've really been enjoying the beautiful fall weather! The puppies really loved playing in the fall leaves and have even tried munching a few. This week they went on their first field trip to school to visit my husband's grade 6 class and they were showered in love and attention. This is such a great opportunity for them to socialize and it's a great way to desensitize them to car rides as well. Speaking of car rides, they will have their first vet visit early next week so we'll let you know how that goes as they'll have a full checkup, deworming treatment & first set of vaccinations. Other news this week is that puppy selection has begun! We have facetimed with a couple of families so far and are just waiting to hear back on who they've chosen. So watch for that update next week. Week 4 Pupdate! Believe it or not the puppies are half way to your arms as of yesterday! We can hardly believe it! This week they started their potty training and crate training. The puppies all sleep together in a kennel at night so that they are used to that when they come home. We don't lock them in as they still are too little to hold it all night, but by the time they come home they will only need 1 potty break in the middle of the night for a couple of weeks and after that they should be able to wait all night long. With potty training we have set up a potty area just outside of their crate and so far they are doing very well. We have a couple pups who haven't missed yet, which is super exciting! The puppies eat their puppy food mush 3 times a day now as they are so big and hungry that mom can't keep up by feeding them on her own anymore. We have also seen more puppy teeth this week so the food is a little less mushy now and they are starting to learn how chew. The most exciting news of the week is that we did our first couple outdoor adventures! The pups just love it and it's a great way to see who is more timid and shy vs who is more outgoing and brave. While we were outdoors we noticed that we have a few light eyed pups which we've never had before. We are so excited!! It's hard to tell for sure this early but check out the notes below to see our current predictions on eye colour. Have a great week!
