Focus is a fantastic behaviour for your dog to learn, it teaches them to make eye contact with you for the reward. Instead of staring at the item, with time and shaping, they will look to you(eye contact) for permission before accepting an item.

Earlier this year Pepper and I were visiting my mom in Toronto for the weekend, she lives in an apartment building and had a repair man in to do a repair on the floor.
Pepper never went over to interrupt, she quietly layed down where she could observe and shortly became bored with the man working in the corner. This is the power of proper exposure and training. Good girl Pep. 💖🐾

Winter wonderland type day! ⛄️❄️ -10°C
Light wind, sunshine and about a foot of snow. Pepper and I walk about 5 km every morning. At first it was to help burn off Peppers excess energy for the day, but honestly I think I need the walks as much as she does. My goal for 2026 is to run a 10KM marathon with Pepper
