Do you know what ISN’T an Olympic sport yet, but totally should be? Chasing down your mature male peacock through the bush, around the garage, into the garage and catching him single handedly. Taking not one, but two wing flaps to the face…….just to get him back into the barn. Then, I tried to clip the flight feathers on one side in hopes that he wouldn’t try flying far again.
It’s a lot harder than you might think to hold an adult peacock in one arm and use the other to clip the feathers with a dull pair of scissors.
So yah, just saying….. it would be very entertaining to watch!

Here’s a photo I tried using AI to help change the background of. Of my good, well behaved white peacock, as thanks for reading my embarrassing tale.

While most of the birds stayed in the barn today due to the on and off rain, Sumo and Sara my Light Sussex decided to brave it.

It’s nice to see them outside again……. Winter was far too long.

SPPU

Exciting opportunity!

I have available a pair ( 1 cockerel and 1 pullet) of Ameraucanas. March 2026 hatch. Black male, dominant white female. Crossing these two will give you 100% Ermine coloured chicks.

I’m 98% certain on genders, however, I will stay in touch with who ever buys them, and if I was wrong, I will trade out with an Ermine bird later this fall!

Out of eggs I hatched from Ontario.

Pm to discuss.
