Did you know that TM’z Veterinary Clinic offers orthopedic surgery, including TPLO procedures?

With over 15 years of experience performing orthopedic surgeries, Dr. Marshall brings extensive knowledge, precision, and a meticulous approach to every procedure she performs.

One of the orthopedic procedures we offer is Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), a surgery used to treat torn cranial cruciate ligaments (similar to ACL injuries in people) in dogs.

When a dog tears its cruciate ligament, the knee becomes unstable, often causing pain, limping, and difficulty getting around.

A TPLO works by carefully changing the angle of the shin bone to create a more stable knee, allowing dogs to move comfortably without relying on the damaged ligament.

Dr. Marshall takes a thorough and precise approach to every TPLO procedure. In addition to correcting the angle of the bone, she carefully examines the knee joint fully, assessing for additional damage and removing damaged tissue when necessary.

This attention to detail helps address both the instability and other problems within the joint, giving patients the best opportunity for a comfortable recovery and a return to an active lifestyle! 💚

Whether you’ve noticed limping, stiffness, or difficulty getting up, or your dog has already been diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury, we’re here to help! Contact our team to learn more about our orthopedic surgical services or to schedule a consultation!
