Probiotics help restore the balance of healthy gut bacteria, improve digestion, and support the immune system. Pets typically require probiotics during times of stress, illness, dietary changes, or after taking antibiotics.
Consider giving your pet a probiotic supplement in the following situations.
-During and after antibiotic use. Antibiotics kill both harmful and beneficial bacteria. Probiotics help replenish the good bacteria in the gut.
-Digestive upset. If your pet is experiencing occasional diarrhea, loose stools, excessive gas, or bloating then probiotics may get their digestion back on the right track.
-During dietary transitions. When switching to a new food brand or formula, probiotics can ease the transition and prevent stomach upset.
-Periods of Stress: Stressful events such as traveling, boarding, moving, or major schedule changes can disrupt a pet's gut flora.
We stock probiotics in powdered or chewable tablets for cats and for dogs. You can find them either in store or on our website.
