Probiotics help restore the balance of healthy gut bacteria, improve digestion, and support the immune system. Pets typically require probiotics during times of stress, illness, dietary changes, or after taking antibiotics.

Consider giving your pet a probiotic supplement in the following situations.

-During and after antibiotic use. Antibiotics kill both harmful and beneficial bacteria. Probiotics help replenish the good bacteria in the gut.

If you have time sensitive special orders that you'll need for that week we would recommend reaching out to us to have them ordered earlier, as this holiday in the middle of the week will likely impact our regular scheduled deliveries of farm feed, pet food, and other supplies.

Pasty butt is a common and potentially fatal condition in baby chicks where manure sticks to the down around their vent and hardens.

Pasty butt is not a disease, but rather a reaction to a chick's delicate system adjusting to a new environment.

Common triggers include:
-Stress, it can be especially common in chicks shipped from hatcheries.
-Temperature, the brooder being too hot or too cold.
-Diet, feeding chicks treats or snacks before they are fully grown. Ensure that you stick to a plain chick starter for the first several weeks.

This blockage stops waste from passing. It is easily treated by gently softening the blockage with warm water and wiping it away. Never pull or scrape the dried manure off, as this can tear the chick's sensitive and delicate skin around their vent.

Be sure to monitor your chick's backsides for the first several days for signs of pasty butt.

It's predicted to be hot and horses need electrolytes when they sweat heavily, travel long distances, or compete in hot weather. Provide them whenever your horse has been actively sweating for 1-3 hours.

An electrolyte supplement can be administered before, during, and after strenuous rides or events. You do not need to wait until the day of a competition, but instead start during training sessions at home.

As heat and humidity increases, horses experience sweat loss rapidly, and they may require supplemental electrolytes just from standing in the heat.

Hauling stresses horses and causes them to sweat and drink less. You can give electrolytes about an hour before traveling to encourage hydration on the road. Also, mares during foaling, stallions during covering, or horses in high stress environments benefit greatly from electrolyte replenishment.

Depending on the variety, electrolytes can be added to water, top dressed on feed, or given directly by mouth. No matter the delivery always ensure your horse has access to plain, fresh water.
