As the days get shorter and night arrives earlier we often recommend the SpotLit Rechargeable Collar Light.

The rechargeable SpotLit Collar Light ensures you can always spot your dog from the park, to the campsite, to the yard, and ensure others can too. Simply clip the light onto virtually any collar or harness and give it a push for instant illumination. Available in multiple colours, you can choose from steady glow or flash mode for added visibility.

Get yours today from any of our locations.

Suet is a cold weather staple for feeding wild birds. We have a wide range of suet feeders and suet cake flavours to suit your preferences.

Suet for birds can be offered year round, but it's especially good in fall and winter. Suet is one of the most popular and beneficial foods you can offer birds. In addition, suet attracts multiple species, so you can be sure it will entice lots of feathered friends to your backyard.

The high fat content in suet helps support birds through the fall and winter when natural food sources are scarce. Woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatches, and jays all love this high calorie food.

Please note that all three of our locations will be CLOSED on Wednesday, November 11th in order to observe Remembrance Day.

Due to this closure being in the middle of the week we anticipate that some of our regular deliveries will be impacted. If you have a regular or recurring special order of farm feed or pet food then we recommend that this be taken into account.

Please reach out to us anytime to inquire about how we can help with this.

💥NEW TO STORE💥

Simply Straw is highly absorbent dust extracted wheat straw animal bedding that increases animal health and comfort.

Utilizing state of the art equipment, Simply Straw starts the process by chopping the straw into small highly absorbent pieces. The straw continues to the dust extraction chamber to remove the majority of dust, allergens, chaff, and other foreign material.

The straw is then compressed into easy to handle bags. Each compressed bag is filled with approximately 10 cubic feet of highly absorbent straw.

Simply Straw is suitable for use for horses, cattle, poultry, or in gardens.

With the recent drop in temperatures there will be many small creatures looking to make your barn their winter home. However, there are many things you can do to deter them.

-Store all grain, farm feed, and pet food in heavy duty metal bins with tight fitting lids rather than plastic or paper sacks. Sweep up spilled grain daily and keep the floor clean

- Mice can squeeze through openings as small as a dime. Stuff gaps in walls or flooring with steel wool or copper mesh, then seal over them with caulk, concrete, or hardware cloth. Avoid soft metals like aluminium or copper flashing alone, as mice can chew through them.

-Place traps along walls and dark corners where mice naturally travel, hiding them under inverted crates or behind feed bins to protect horses, dogs, and cats.

By keeping things clean and sealed you can prevent mice and other pests from damaging your barn.

We've recently had a drop in overnight temperatures and it's time to think about water heaters and deicers.

As you pull your older units out of storage be sure to inspect them closely for any signs of damage. Damage to the cord, cracked housing, heavy lime or calcium scale buildup are all signs that it's time to replace the unit.

We're stocked up on all things heated. Come on down to browse our selection of heaters, deicers, heated poultry waters, heated buckets, and heated dog dishes.

Attention Lumby customers!

Starting this Wednesday, October 14th both the North and South ends of Shuswap Ave will be subject to traffic and sidewalk changes while Telus crews work to install new lines.

The Village of Lumby is working to ensure that all residences and businesses on Shuswap Ave, including us, will continue to have access during this work.

We ask that our customers obey all signs and flaggers during this process, which is expected to last for two to three days.
