We will be closed for the Labour Day Weekend - Saturday and Monday we are closed. Emergency and Urgent Care Services will be available at Southwest, Oakwest, and London Veterinary Emergency Clinic or through online services like VetWise. This is my present view in Nova Scotia on a rainy day but still so beautiful. Enjoy the Long Weekend. CRAZY to believe it is Back to School already !!

This LONG weekend crept up on me !! So we are closed for the weekend - sorry for short notice. I think I am in denial it is August already !!! Emergency care and urgent care is available through local clinics like Southwest, Oak West and the London Emergency Clinic. VetWise ( previously known as SmartVet) is also available for online consults. Enjoy the weekend and we are back in the office Tuesday morning.

Urgent care is available on Canada Day at Southwest Veterinary Hospital. Best to be prepared but we hope everyone has a great Canada Day.

We will be closed on Wednesday for Canada Day !! Looks like some very hot weather this week - so keep cool and make sure your pets are cool and well hydrated in the heat. Hard to believe it is the end of June already. For those with summer holidays ....... ENJOY. And credit to Alex Colville for the painting.

Come on out to the Dorchester Fairgrounds to watch agility all weekend. Friday to Sunday - the Ontario Regional Agility Championships. Please leave your dogs at home as it is going to be hot and only dogs entered can be on the grounds. You will be able to see some GREAT dogs doing what they love. Can't wait !!!!!

Join us for our Journey Through Grief event, a supportive space to honour and remember the animals who meant so much to us.

On Tuesday, May 26, from 10am-12pm, St. Joseph's Hospice of London will be hosting an event entitled: Journey Through Grief: Pet Loss. This event is designed to support individuals who have lost a beloved pet. This session will also support individuals who have lost a service animal.

This event will also be offered as a hybrid session using Microsoft Teams.

Nothing says Happy Easter like a tick being found on your sister's dog at brunch. This is a deer tick. Luckily he is on his NexGard so no worries for the dog but YUCK !!!! He also has a fairly thick coat but this little guy was finding his way through. Don't Forget your tick prevention !!!
