October is Registered Veterinary Technician Month and I am lucky/blessed/forever grateful to the wonderful RVT's I call Friend/Co-Worker/Team Member/HELP me get through the DAY PEOPLE !! They always have my back and they are selfless in how they care for our patients and their people. They have amazing skills in well everything......radiology, dentistry, anesthesia, surgery, laboratory technology, medicine, therapeutic laser, inventory management, palliative care and end of life, IT and garbage put-er outers ....REALLY Everything !!!! Some of them are afraid of spiders/bugs, some are CAT whisperers, some CANNOT do drool, some are either cold all day or too hot or both, all of them are foodies, they will pick straws over who gets to collect blood, place a catheter or get to do the FUN dentals ......... they keep our wheels turning every single day. I could NOT do what I do without them. THANK YOU !!!!

We will be closed for the Labour Day Weekend - Saturday and Monday we are closed. Emergency and Urgent Care Services will be available at Southwest, Oakwest, and London Veterinary Emergency Clinic or through online services like VetWise. This is my present view in Nova Scotia on a rainy day but still so beautiful. Enjoy the Long Weekend. CRAZY to believe it is Back to School already !!

This LONG weekend crept up on me !! So we are closed for the weekend - sorry for short notice. I think I am in denial it is August already !!! Emergency care and urgent care is available through local clinics like Southwest, Oak West and the London Emergency Clinic. VetWise ( previously known as SmartVet) is also available for online consults. Enjoy the weekend and we are back in the office Tuesday morning.

We will be closed on Wednesday for Canada Day !! Looks like some very hot weather this week - so keep cool and make sure your pets are cool and well hydrated in the heat. Come on out to the Dorchester Fairgrounds to watch agility all weekend. Friday to Sunday - the Ontario Regional Agility Championships. Please leave your dogs at home as it is going to be hot and only dogs entered can be on the grounds. You will be able to see some GREAT dogs doing what they love. Can't wait !!!!!
