September Recap & Show Season Wrap Up

Sunday September 6th - We attended the London Horsemanship Club show at HSE Stables, where we had several riders enter the show ring for the first time! We love being able to help riders grow, from learning the ropes of showing and beyond. LHC always has such fun shows and work very hard to make shows a wonderful learning experience for new riders!

September 10th to 13th - Our silver team attended the final Silver Central show at Caledon Equestrian Park. Over the season we have had the oppurtinuty to see so many riders and horses learn and grow. Its amazing to see the results of all the hard work and dedication. It was a great end to a wonderful season!

Sept 29 to Oct 4 - We competed at Silver Series Playoffs at Angelstone. All of our show team was eligable to attend Playoffs, and 14 of our riders and their horses competed. It was a very rewarding week, with everyone learning lots, showing their progress and skill, and gaining valuable experience. We had several riders in the top 5 of their divisions jumping off the podium, many more ribbons, and tons of fun for all!

We also had participated in the tackroom contest at Playoffs, with the Apres Ski theme. Thank you to everyone who organized, crafted, and hauled all the amazing decor! It was a such a blast!

With the 2026 show season done we want to give our thanks to everyone who has made the show season possible! Thank you to the riders for your hard work and dedication to sportsmanship and horsemanship. Thank you to the friends and family whose support allows our riders to thrive. Thank you to the Shadowlane staff who ensure everything runs smoothly. Thank you to our wonderful coaches Carla & Ayla for their training, guidance, and support. And thank you to the show staff for running such great events!

August Shadowlane Recap

We had a crew attend the High Street Trillium show at Ilderton fair grounds. Its great to be able to show at a variety of venues and really test our horses and riders skills. Thank you the High Street team for always putting on such a great show.

Our final summer camp of the year was another great week! It always so wonderful to watch the campers riding improve through the week and see the new friendships form with other horse crazy kids.

Our Silver team attended Silver Central 4 at Caledon Equestrian Park. It was a great week, even with Sunday's very rainy weather. We are so proud of how our riders continue to show great horsemanship, sportsmanship, and team work.

As summer comes to a close we look forwards to the fun the fall will bring!

Shadowlane's July Recap

Shadowlane had a busy but very fun July, with multiple horse shows and camps!

Our Silver team attended Silver CEP 3 with great results. It was another great group with an amazing group of riders, families, and friends. Its always wonderful seeing the progress that our horses and riders make throughout the show season. Silver CEP 4 kicked off today, and we look forwards to another great week!

We had riders attended the CEP Summer 2 Gold show. Despite multiple delays due to smoke and rain, our riders took it in stride and perfmored wonderfully.

The first kids summer camp followed, and it was a super fun filled week with lots of aspiring young riders. With games, riding, lessons in horsemanship, and more, it was never a dull moment!

We ended July with our annual teen camp. This camp focuses on advanced horsemanship and riding skills for teen riders looking to become great horsepeople, and have fun doing it!

Stay tuned for our August recap to see what the end of summer brings to Shadowlane!

Huge thank you to Richard Booth for many of the wonderful photos from CEP Silver 3!

May & June Horse Show Recap!

Shadowlaners attended the Millside Trillium Show II in May, and the HSE Prelude and CEP Silver 2 in June!

The Trillium show crew was small but mighty! Highlights include champion placings for Kelsey and Cashtanha and Nia and Be Like Owen, with reserve champ Julia and Beaverwood’s Ivy.

Our Prelude riders included several students who are new to showing. Having new riders enter the show ring is always so exciting and we are grateful to have such wonderful horses who ensure that their first time showing is fun and safe! The heavy rain did cause the show to be called early, but our riders were great sports in spite of the rain.

Our CEP Silver riders enjoyed a much warmer show than the first CEP show! It was a great week with lots of ribbons, learning, and teamwork. Seeing the growth our riders and horses are making just two shows into the season is amazing. Huge thank you as always to the families and friends whose support and help make big shows like this possible for our riders!

We are looking forward to CEP Silver 3 next week!

What a wonderful start to the 2026 show season!

April saw Shadowlane riders attending the High Street Horse Shows Spring Fling Trillium Show and Silver Central Phase 1 at Caledon Equestrian Park.

We had new partnerships, riders stepping up to new heights, and returning pairs. Its was a great two weekends of learning, fun, and amazing team work by riders, families, staff, and coaches. No matter the weather everyone gave it their all and worked hard to help their horse's shine.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the show season will bring!
