Got some extra space in your heart & in your home?

My heart is breaks writing this.

Sadly, our sweet Mackie has been given a deadline and must have a placement by tomorrow. Her current foster has let me know they'll be dropping her off regardless, saying they're sure I'll "figure it out." This is no fault of hers.

As many of you know, Daisy's Place is a foster based rescue. We don't have a shelter or empty kennels where dogs can wait. Every dog in our care relies on a foster home.

Mackie is a beautiful female Cane Corso mix who deserves so much better than uncertainty. She's been working hard with her training, and we're here to support her every step of the way. All supplies are provided by Daisy's Place, along with ongoing guidance and support.

If you've ever considered fostering, please let this be the dog you say yes to. Even sharing this post could help us find the right person.

Please reach out to me as soon as possible if you can help give Mackie a safe place to land. I'm desperately trying to make sure she doesn't have nowhere to go tomorrow. ❤️

I hope someone in your community is able to step up for Mackie, she's already been failed too many times.

Good to know!!

Foxtail is popping up around the city. This is your annual reminder to keep your dogs away from it. These grass-like weeds can burrow into your pet’s coat and skin which can lead to pain, infection and sometimes even more serious issues. Foxtails can be inhaled, lodged in the ears, swallowed and embedded in the paw pads. 🐾 -Jay&Erin

Excellent advice except don’t be fooled by ‘do not shave’. It doesn’t mean don’t groom your dog. Regular grooming keeps mats under control. Mats create exposed skin areas that can cause more damage than a haircut. Stay warm everypawdy! ❤️

💙 REMEMBER YOUR PETS DURING THE WINTER STORM

As dangerous cold and winter weather move in, don’t forget about your pets. They rely on you to stay safe and warm.

Bring pets indoors, limit time outside, and make sure they have food, unfrozen water, and a warm, draft-free place to rest. Watch closely for signs of cold stress like shivering, lethargy, or lifting paws.

‼️If it’s too cold for YOU, it’s too cold for THEM.‼️

🐶🐱 Check on neighbors’ pets when it’s safe to do so. A little extra care during the storm can save a life.
