Hello Pine Valley family

We will be closed Wednesday July 1 for the Canada Day holiday.

Please have any orders needed for food or medications placed by 12pm June 25 as this will be our last order placed until July 7th.

You will still be able to order on my vet store at any time.

Heartworm season is upon us for our canine friends. Here's a little information on heartworm as well as Lyme disease.

We have already started our blood testing and have had multiple Lyme positive cases.

The ticks are certainly out and in force this year.

Make sure to book your testing and put your furry friends on prevention.

Leptospirosis has been changed to be one of the core vaccines in Ontario as we are seeing a rise in cases.

Here is a little information on the bacterial disease.

Leptospirosis ("lepto") is a serious, often fatal bacterial disease in dogs that affects the kidneys and liver, caused by Leptospira bacteria found in soil, mud, and water contaminated by wildlife urine. Common symptoms include fever, vomiting, lethargy, increased drinking/urination, and jaundice. It is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from pets to humans.
