Meet Sheeba ❤️

Sheeba is your typical German Shepherd — she absolutely loves her dad, long walks, and, of course, treats! 🐾

Over the years, though, the salon has been a pretty stressful place for her. We tried everything we could think of to help her feel more comfortable. We scheduled quieter times at the salon, worked on sticking with one groomer to build trust, and took things at her pace.

Her nails were especially difficult. She was incredibly nervous, and sometimes it took multiple groomers working together to help her through the process. We even had to use a muzzle and cone at times to keep everyone safe. No matter what we tried, Sheeba continued to struggle with the stress of grooming.

After having a good conversation with Dad, we decided to talk to her veterinarian about the possibility of mild sedation to help make grooming a safer and more comfortable experience for her.

Today was Sheeba’s first groom with her vet-approved sedation plan, and what a difference it made. 🥹❤️

She was confident. She was quiet. She was calm. Most importantly, she wasn’t stressed.

Seeing her walk through the salon and experience grooming without fear was such an amazing moment for us. Sometimes, helping a dog isn’t about pushing them to “get used to it” — it’s about finding the right tools and approach to make them feel safe.

We’re so proud of you, Sheeba! And a huge shoutout to Dad for working with us and her veterinarian to find a solution that puts Sheeba’s comfort and wellbeing first. ❤️🐾

From games of hide-and-seek to our silly singing videos, you’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Charlie was so much more than a client, and so much more than just a dog. He was a friend. Every spa day was filled with personality, laughter, and memories I’ll treasure forever.

The salon won’t be the same without your happy face, your wagging tail, and the joy you brought every time you walked through the door.

Run free, sweet Charlie. You’ll always be remembered, and you’ll always be missed. ❤️🌈🐾

Another one has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾

Don’t you wish our pets could live forever?

This one hits especially hard. Callie wasn’t just a client—she was my best friend’s dog, the face of South Paw, and one of the happiest souls to ever walk through our doors.

She came in every visit with her tail wagging, smiling from floppy ear to floppy ear. Her fur would fly around the salon like a snow globe, and somehow one ear was always dirtier than the other. She never complained about my ridiculous photo shoots—in fact, she seemed to love every second of them.

Callie brought so much joy to everyone who knew her. The salon won’t be the same without her happy face, wagging tail, and sweet spirit.

Run free, beautiful girl. Rest easy, my four-legged friend. You’ll always be a part of South Paw, and you’ll be deeply missed. ❤️🐾

🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨

We are SO excited to finally share this announcement!

Our salon is growing… by TWO! 🎉🐾

Starting in August, we’ll be welcoming Maggie and Ally from The Grooming Garage to our team, and we couldn’t be more excited! Their talent, experience, and love for what they do make them an incredible addition to our salon family.

This is a huge step for us, and we’re so grateful for the support that has allowed us to continue growing. We can’t wait for our clients and their pups to meet them!

New faces, more wagging tails, and even more exciting things to come! ❤️🐶✨
