Hi, my name is Guinness! If you look real closely my coat resembles that well known stout.

I am a high energy boy. I’m told I’m some form of bully mix with hound. I’ve been told that my hind legs are like coiled springs because I like to pop up and say hi to you at your eye level, while maybe (likely🙃) leaving some goober on your shoulder.

Once I get all my zoomies out I am a loveable boy who likes to snuggle, lean on you and be your shadow. I’m hoping to find a family or an individual who would enjoy burning energy with me on a regular basis and maybe ending our day on a patio with a pint or two.

I’m good with other dogs but I've been told I can be a little intense. I haven't met a cat yet but my friends here at Outrun think I am probably too excitable for most cats.

Unfortunately, not every puppy gets a gentle start. “Little Bean” moved into her new home at 9 weeks old and within her first week, an interaction with the resident dog resulted in a broken jaw. Her story is a powerful reminder of how vulnerable young puppies are.

Little Bean’s recovery included medical management for several weeks after her jaw was set and she was syringe fed for the first while. After almost 1.5 months of watered-down canned food, Little Bean will be able to try her first pieces of kibble (soon!

Safe introductions matter. Thoughtful management and supervision can prevent accidents and set your puppy up for positive experiences. Every “new friend” your puppy meets — resident dogs, cats, kids, visitors — becomes part of her early learning. She’s figuring out how to interact, what’s safe, and what good manners look like in each relationship.

Bringing home a new puppy is pure joy but for your puppy, it’s a huge life change. Just days ago, she was surrounded by her mom, her littermates, and everything familiar. Now she’s in a brand new world with new people, new animals, new routines, and lots to learn.

David is still looking for his home although his brother found his new family relatively quickly. David is now 5 months old but he is still a happy go lucky puppy. He has started to participate in our group training classes and has mastered the "Art of Sit". Leash walking is a work in progress but it's been started.

David gets along well with people and other dogs. Being a curious puppy, he would like to chase cats so a dog-savvy cat would probably be best. We believe he is shepherd mix and will be a large adult dog.

Tango is a gentle girl with a heart that seems to shine a little brighter than most. She adores humans, melts for affection, and believes every person she meets is a new friend. Patrick and David are 4 month old, happy go lucky puppies who are keen to begin their next adventure. We believe these boys are shepherd mix and that they will be large dogs when they're adults. We have started to teach them to walk on a leash and they are beginning foundations for basic obedience training.

We are excited to watch these handsome boys grow and thrive, however we would love to have them in their own homes. They get along well with people and other dogs. Being curious puppies, they would like to chase cats so a dog-savvy cat would probably be best.

Misty wishes all everyone a Happy Easter. Misty asked if we could let everyone know that she's still hoping to find her new family sometime soon. She would love to have her very own home again.

Sweet lady Misty joined us at Outrun as a shy, uncertain dog who wasn't sure what to do with herself. After some well deserved rest and bonding time, her bubbly personality has emerged and she's thrilled to come out and see her people.

Her current favourite activities include doing hard core zoomies around the training room, and leaning in for a snuggle with her friends. Misty is attending group training classes and has made progress in her basic obedience, leash skills, and confidence. She is good with other dogs, and she is good with children over 12 (she's a little clumsy!) but has not been tested with cats. Given her behaviours we've seen so far, we suspect with proper introductions and supervision she would be okay.

She is believed to be around 4 years old, and likely a doberman and german shepherd mix.

🌺 Meet Luau! 🌺

Luau arrived as a pound stray 2 weeks ago and has wiggled her way into our hearts. At just 8 months old, weighing in at 19kg, this bully pup is already living life like every day’s a beach party.

🐾 Basically loves everyone

Luau is the definition of a social butterfly — wiggly, happy, and always ready to make a new best friend. Whether she’s bouncing around with other pups, snuggling up to a friendly cat, or melting hearts with that puppy charm, she brings sunshine wherever she goes.

Say hello to Toby! This big man is ready to join the fun and has made a special request for a home with lots of cookies and a sense of adventure.

Toby is around 2 years old, and taking full advantage of his youth. When he's not busy finding toys to toss around, he's hard at work in training classes trying to remember where he left his last braincell. His volunteers describe him as a loveable goof. With hard work comes good reward, and Tobyis happy to soak in the love for the efforts he puts in.

Toby's enthusiasm and stare can come off strong to some dogs. With more structure and self control (and a little less teenager brain), he may get along with the right dog friend. He lived with another adult dog in his previous home, but we don't know whether the feelings were mutual between them. He has not been tested with cats or children at this time.
