πŸ΄πŸ’™ Changing Lives, One Stride at a Time πŸ’™πŸ΄
Just a few snapshots of some of the wonderful riders who have joined us at T.H.R.I.L. recently!
Every ride looks a little different. For some, it’s about building strength and balance. For others, it’s growing confidence, independence, communication or simply experiencing the joy and connection that comes from spending time with a horse.
We are so proud of our participants and grateful to our incredible horses, volunteers, families and community who make moments like these possible.

Yesterday, we had international visitors, Sophie and her family visiting from the UK. Sophie rides in a therapeutic program in England and we made it possible for her to visit THRIL.
Her mom wrote
"Sophie had a horse riding lesson at the fabulous T.H.R.I.L therapeutic riding centre today. She rode the fabulous Sandman, a strawberry Appaloosa horse who was very kind and gentle with her.
She was thrilled as she was also able to groom him and help tack up as well as ride and lead him. The staff and volunteers made us incredibly welcome and gave us a tour of their amazing facilities - which were probably the best accessible equestrian facilities we’ve ever been too.
Thank you so very much for all your hospitality today it’s been such an incredible experience for Sophie and us all. You have amazing horses and facilities and we will always remember our visit to you. "

We wish Sophie and her family a wonderful Canadian vacation.

πŸ€ πŸ‘’πŸ΄ OUR HEARTS ARE FULL β€” THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE BOOTS N’ HOOVES! πŸ΄πŸ‘’πŸ€

We had the BEST time at our Boots N’ Hooves: Dancing for T.H.R.I.L. fundraiser on Saturday, and we are still smiling thinking about the incredible group of people who filled our arena with laughter, music, dancing, cowboy boots, and so much support for T.H.R.I.L.

You bought tickets. You brought your friends and family. You put on your boots and best western outfits. You danced. You laughed. And most importantly, you showed up for T.H.R.I.L. and our participants. We hope everyone who joined us knows just how meaningful that support truly is.

Since 2014, T.H.R.I.L. has been providing therapeutic equine-based programs for children, youth, and adults living with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. Today, more than 30 participants each week experience the joy, freedom, confidence, and sense of accomplishment that can come from working with one of our incredible therapy horses.

For our participants, their weekly time at T.H.R.I.L. helps improve balance, coordination, strength and mobility. For others, it's also an opportunity to build confidence, communication and social skills, experience independence, form an incredible connection with a horse, or simply have a place where they can experience success and JOY. 🐴❀️ As a small registered charity, fundraisers like Boots N’ Hooves matter tremendously to us.

Our goal has always been to keep our programs as affordable as possible for our participants and their families. We can only do that because people in our community choose to show up for us β€” through fundraising events, donations, sponsorships and volunteering.

So when you came out and danced with us on Saturday night, you weren't just buying a ticket to a line dancing event. You were supporting our horses. You were supporting our participants. You were supporting our volunteers. And you were helping T.H.R.I.L. continue doing what we love so much.

We also need to give the BIGGEST thank you to the incredibly talented Jennine Profeta! πŸ’ƒπŸ€  Jennine brought so much enthusiasm, patience and FUN to our arena and somehow managed to get all of us moving in the same direction... most of the time! πŸ˜‚ We are so grateful that you shared your time and talent with us and helped make this night such a success.

To our participants, families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and members of our community who joined us...

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING UP FOR T.H.R.I.L.! ❀️

**Looking for Volunteers **

T.H.R.I.L. is a registered not-for-profit charity that has been changing lives since 2014 by providing CanTRA-certified therapeutic horsemanship and riding programs for children, youth, adults, and seniors living with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. Each week, we serve more than 30 participants, ranging in age from 4 to 90 years old, helping them improve balance, strength, coordination, confidence, communication, and social skills through the unique partnership between horse and human.

As a charitable organization, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. We simply could not offer our programs without them. Depending on a participant's needs, it can take up to four volunteers to safely support a single lesson. Our volunteers work alongside our certified instructors to help lead horses, walk beside riders, assist with grooming and tacking, encourage participants, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

No horse experience is necessary! We provide orientation and hands-on training, and our experienced instructors and volunteers are always available to support new team members. We welcome volunteers of all ages (14+) and abilities who are looking to make a meaningful difference while spending time outdoors and around our incredible therapy horses.

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with:

Weekly therapeutic horsemanship and riding lessons
Horse leading and side walking during lessons
Grooming, tacking, and preparing horses
Special events and community fundraisers
General barn and farm support
Whether someone can volunteer once a week or just occasionally, every helping hand makes a tremendous difference.

Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to contact us for more information or to arrange a tour of the farm.
