Tuddenham neighbourhood pub, The Lodge’ on the weekend.

Providing a yummy fresh meat dinner to the regular doggy patrons. This day 3 of them, Alfie, Tia and Scooby enjoy the treat. The tail wags tell it all. So happy to have met these three. Thank you to their moms and dads for allowing me to get my quota of fur love from them.

Last week we said farewell to Mum in Devon, Crediton and headed up the motorway to Norfolk, Tuddenham to visit with Dad, Barbara and our sister, Jane. The 6 hr travel through the rolling hills of Devon into the farming fields of Norfolk was over the top amazing, even though I slept most of the way. Our weather has been spectacular! I have well over packed. This week we're enjoying plenty of sunshine every day sitting in the garden with family and having a wonderful time.
We met a lovely 2 yr old Cavalier Spaniel named Mojo. She is such a cuddly little girl. I could easily have packed her in my carryon bag.

We also visited the Super Pet Friendly neighbourhood pub The Lodge on the weekend.

I’m so thankful all is well back home and things are being taken care of. Thank you again Peaches, River and Bailey for keeping the grounds safe for us. Thank you for the photos

We’re having a great time visiting our treasured friends and family in England. Travel has been long, but the weather has been exceptional. We have rented a fabulous car and can easily get around. We arrived at London Heathrow and headed for the ferry to The Isle of Wight. There we spent a few fabulous days with our treasured friends Angie & Gareth and their gorgeous 1.5 yr old boxer boy, Milo. Well of course we loved him!!
How could you not love that face!! Thank you so much for opening you home and hearts and sharing them with us. I can’t wait to return the favour in Canada.
Next we headed back to the mainland to Devon for a few days with Mum

Royal K9 Korner will be CLOSED
Apr. 12th – May 4th, 2026

Yes, that’s right we’re closed for 3 whole weeks!

We’re taking some time to enjoy a family visit abroad. Special Thank you to the moms and dad of our visitors who have agreed to take care of a few things for us while we’re away. Thank you moms of Peaches, Suzy Q and River, and Bailey’s dad! You are a blessing!

Thank you so much to all our other visitors for understanding. We’ll see you all when we return!

I’m getting ready to close my gates. I have a few more buddies booked in for this weekend and then we’ll be airborne. Little Nugget will return for a playday along with Cooper, Sir Bailey and our Spider monkey Miss Lilly. I have some digging to do and I’m hopeful I can coax her into joining in.
Our weather has warmed considerably and there’s now more yard work to do than I anticipated before we leave. I’ve mowed a few spots already and used the w**d eater to do a bit of trimming.
I’m thankful I have friends who have agreed to look after our house and yard while we’re away. Getting away is a big event for me, and I’m super excited. I’d like to think I’ll write one more post before liftoff but I’m not promising. I’m adding my closure dates along with the images here and will ‘pin’ them before we say “Cheerio”.

Ruby, Cooper and Bailey rejoined Sir Henry for a playday.
Henry still has a few more days of daycare left. Today he’ll be joined again by Bailey who will stay with him until he heads home on Wed. We’ve sure enjoyed our time with Sir Henry, but I know, he’ll be over the moon to see his mom and dad.

Royal K9 Korner will not be booking any other April daycare days. Cooper and Miss Lilly already have a few days of April daycare with us and then we’re closing our gates for 3 weeks.
Royal K9 Korner will be closed from April 12th – May 4th
I’ll pin a reminder post for those dates later.

Suzy Q, River & Ruby’s day visits with Henry & Nugget. We had so much fun with little Nugget. She is the very smallest of our extended pack, but no one told her so. She plays, ruff ‘n tuff, zooms with the big dogs and demands they respect her. Her cuddly snuggles she gives in the evening will certainly be missed. We can’t wait for her next visit. Here’s a look at the days before Nugget headed back home.

Henry and Nugget have been such delightful house guests during their stay. Their play is very parallel, and sometimes they even play tug together. It’s quite funny. Usually I have one hand on a toy for Nugget while playing tug with Henry on the other. Not an optimum position for the ole back when one is tiny and the other keeps pulling you in the opposite direction, but I do laugh!
I couldn’t resist buying a new toy for each. I took a short video when I handed them out. Well, I guess I made a great choice.
They love them! Good! They deserve them!
They’ve both enjoyed the few days of quality bonding time together before home time for Nugget. They also had a one-day visit from Ruby and another from The Countess. I’ll post photos of those days next.
The weather has been glorious, and I’ve managed to re-pot a couple of my houseplants and get my seedlings out for some real-time sunshine during the days. I’m sure I won’t be getting them into the ground before we start our 3-week vacation. I’ve been assured they’ll be well cared for in my absence.

A week of fun with Bailey, Nugget, Suzy, Cooper and Sir Henry. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Bailey, Suzy and Cooper headed home with smiles and Sir Henry and Nugget spent a day recovering. It's a rainy day today and Ruby will be joining them for a bit of fun!
Stay dry everyone. I'm sure an abundance of Spring things will be popping up after this rain.

When the smaller dogs headed home, a big buddy arrived for Bailey! Yay Sir Henry is here! The two boys started their week together in true boy fashion. A playful scuffle, a friendly neck bite, a romp and zoom and a tug of war that lasted all day long. Nugget is happy to play alongside these big boys. It seems like she really doesn’t see a size difference at all. The boys seem to see her and sidestep her. I stay close and keep my eyes peeled.

The weather is slowly warming up, and the snow has all melted. I see our forecast is calling for wet weather, so my mats and towels are ready. For now, we’re enjoying the dry ground along with the sound of the Red-winged blackbirds in our neighbours’ trees. They are almost deafening at times. I like to think they are calling in Spring!
Suzy Q’s mum did some spring cleaning and sorted out her toys. She has donated few of them to us that Suzy never uses. Yay! Thank you, Suzy!
Bailey and Nugget each claimed one they want to play with. Nugget is proud to carry her new little squeaky stuffy cupcake around with her inside and out. The one Bailey chose is a mini hedgehog, very similar to the ones he currently claims here.

By day’s end these three amigos were fast asleep and had to be woken for dinner. Then it was out for a piddle and straight back to bed. I’m sure they all had happy dreams. Not a peep all night long.
