Coulee Vet will be closed next Monday, September 7 for Labor Day and will reopen Tuesday, September 8.

💊 Prescription & Food Requests:
Please call us by Thursday, September 3 at noon for any prescription or food requests so we can make sure you have what you need before the long weekend.

🚨 Emergency: Please call the emergency hospital at 403-320-5200.

🐾 Non-Emergency: Please contact us at 403-898-0321 and leave a message. We’ll return your call when we’re back on Tuesday.

Ticks can remain active as long as temperatures stay above 4°C — meaning our pets can still be at risk!

Don’t wait until you find a tick on your furry friend. Prevention is the best protection. 🐶🐱

☀️🌡️ Hot weather is here, and it doesn't take long for temperatures to become dangerous for our pets.

🚗 A parked car can become deadly in minutes — even with the windows cracked or parked in the shade.

Keep your pets safe by:
💧 Providing plenty of fresh water
🌳 Sticking to shady areas and cooler times of day for walks
🐾 Checking pavement temperatures before heading out
🏠 Keeping pets indoors during extreme heat

Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse can all be signs of heat stroke.

🔥 Heat stroke is an emergency — if you suspect your pet is overheating, contact a veterinarian immediately.

Stay cool and stay safe this summer! 🐾❤️
