Baxter & Beau are looking for a new home! These two sweethearts have been staying with us for a few weeks and their owners have made the heartbreaking decision to find them a new home. This decision is due to no fault of their own. They are both very outgoing, clean, cuddly, and sociable. Both of them are neutered and up to date on their vaccines until 2028.
Interested in adopting this precious duo? Let us know and we would be happy to introduce you!

Today our family was in Colorado Springs to attend the IAFF Memorial where Alex’s name was added to the Memorial wall.

Alex (Lorna’s dad), was the driving force to start Second Home Pet Resort (and previously Ellerslie Road Kennels). Those who visit us can see his hand drawn blueprints for Second Home framed on the wall 💙

We have had one daycare client report a possible case of kennel cough 😷
Puppy mama did the exact right thing and notified us, and kept her pup home from daycare - thank you! 💙
While every dog in care must be vaccinated for bordetella (kennel cough), the vaccine is not 100% effective, and cases will pop up. Generally vaccinated dogs will experience a milder case, with fewer symptoms.
Please be sure to report any cases to us, and please keep your dog at home if you suspect they have kennel cough 🤧, and be sure to give them extra cuddles from their friends at Second Home 🩷
