ASPEN lives for the work. This little firecracker has endless drive, determination, and nothing stands in her way when it’s time to get the job done. Her talent is something special, and I’m incredibly grateful to work alongside her every day. It’s almost scary how intelligent she is—she picks up new concepts in no time and often makes it feel like she understands every word I say.

Sable is the steady presence in our family—the kind of dog that leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Sweet, affectionate, and impossible not to love, she gives her whole heart to everything she does.

Whether she’s training or hunting, Sable is always ready to go. She thrives on having a job to do, but she’s also a girl with plenty of personality. Independent and confident, she occasionally likes to remind us that she has her own ideas about how things should be done.
We love her to pieces! 🖤

This little powerhouse would spend every waking minute in the water if she could. Her enthusiasm, natural nose, and determination continue to impress us, especially at such a young age. Watching her confidence and drive grow with every outing is a lot of fun.

DUNE (7 months old) earned her final JH pass yesterday and is now officially Red Spruce’s Beach Vibes Only JH! 💛

What a great weekend at the PEI Retriever Club . Dune finished her title, and Aspen put together two strong Master Hunter runs. Although we didn’t get the pass this time, we came away with valuable experience and plenty to build on as we continue working toward future titles.

I’m incredibly proud of Aspen’s performance this weekend. Considering she recently had a litter, followed by an injury and limited training time, she gave it her all and showed up ready to work.

As always, there’s plenty for me to improve on as a handler so I can better support her in the field, and I’m looking forward to continuing that journey together.

Julep came along for the adventure and enjoyed the weekend, but sat this one out and didn’t compete.

A huge thank you to the hosts, judges, club members, and volunteers who made this event possible. The weekend was exceptionally well organized, filled with wonderful people, talented dogs, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🐾🏅

RED SPRUCE’S BEACH VIBES ONLY- DUNE went 2/2 at her first hunt test experience ever.
I’m beyond proud of my happy little girl! 💛 She was just old enough at 6 months of age to run the test, and by far the youngest in her class. One more JH pass and she gets the title 😌

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

We put just as much time, dedication, and effort into our females as we do into our males. For us, nothing matters more than ensuring both parents are accomplished and developed to their fullest potential.

Our females truly have one of the toughest jobs. Their training is often interrupted by heat cycles, pregnancy, raising litters, and the recovery that comes after breeding — all while continuing to give their all.

So today, we want to give a huge shoutout to all the hardworking breeding moms out there who balance competition, training, motherhood, and everything in between. Your dedication does not go unnoticed! 🖤
