A big shout out to our dear friends, SOS Prairie Rescue for their donation of kennels!!

This past weekend was a big one for our team with a LOT of dogs being transported to and from medical care. SOS's support helped us get all these good dogs where they needed to go safely and securely 🧡

Last week marked sweet Melissa completing her DECADE as Treasurer with us, and we could not be more grateful for her.

For over ten years, she has ensured CAP stays on a fiscally responsible path, and brought so much to our organization. The hours of her time she has given CAP over the years is hard to measure.

More importantly in this time, she has stepped into two of the most important roles in her life - being a wife and a mother to two beautiful babies. She is stepping away from her role with CAP to continue showing up in these two roles in meaningful ways for her family and we could not be more happy for her and her little ones.

Melissa, we truly are so so appreciative for all you have done for CAP, and we will miss you immensely. 🧡🥲

🚨 WE’RE IN THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! 🚨
Our goal is $17,500 to build 50 dog houses by the end of September... TOMORROW.
And we are SO. CLOSE.

‼️ There's only $358 left to raise. ‼️
That’s ONE FINAL DOG HOUSE.
Just one.

Your support helps cover the cost of dog house materials, straw bedding, and fuel for our volunteers to deliver these houses to our partner Nations and the dogs who need shelter most this winter.

This isn’t just about building dog houses. It’s about keeping families safe, together, and warm. 🐾🧡

We have less than 48 hours to reach our goal.
We are so appreciative of our donors and supporters in this campaign so far.

Can you help us build that LAST & FINAL DOG HOUSE and get us to $17,500?
Please donate, share, and help us cross the finish line. 🧡

🚨Nine Days Left!!🚨

We are SO close.

There are just 9 days left to reach our goal of building 50 dog houses for 50 families this fall and we are within reach of really making it happen!

🎯 GOAL: $17,500
🧡 RAISED SO FAR: $16,323
🏠 46.6 of 50 dog houses funded!

🐾✨ The final $1,176 to reach our goal represents more than a number.
It means warmth, shelter, safety, and even survival.

When winter arrives, freezing temperatures, wind, snow, and ice can become deadly for dogs who don't have adequate shelter. A proper dog house gives these dogs a place to stay safe in the coldest nights.

Every house also means one more family can know that their loved dogs have a safe place to sleep when the temperature drops. For the dogs receiving these shelters, winter isn't something they can prepare for or escape from themselves - they depend on us to help give them a safe place to get through it.

If you've been thinking about supporting this project, please consider making a donation today. Even a small contribution brings us one step closer to putting a safe, warm shelter in the yard of a family who needs it.

So many of you have already donated - we can't say thank you enough for getting us this far!!

$1,176 to go. 9 days left. 50 dogs deserve a safe place to weather the winter. 🧡
Let's get these last 3.4 dog houses funded. 🏠🐾

Last weekend, our team spent time going door to door in Sturgeon Lake First Nation to sign up female dogs for our upcoming spay program. We have worked alongside SLFN for 11 years and have the special privilege of visiting pets that have been spayed/neutered through our programs - some as far back as 2016!

The main feedback from our volunteer team after wrapping up for the day was "Most people already have their dogs fixed :)". It was a feel-good day for our team and we always enjoy catching up with families that we have made connections with over the years. Thank you for your continued partnership, SLFN 🐾🥰
