We don't post about our pet dogs as much as we should...but many paw-some pets have graduated and just like Dom and Daisy who are learning as they grow to become good house pets!

Leave it is respectfully a very had command for a dog to regularly preform. Yet that doesn’t make it impossible, with constant work and structure like “leave it…have it” or picking up the treat and then on the trainer/owners terms give them what they had left as an reward. They will learn that even through they might not get what they want right away, that doesn’t mean they will never have it.

At the end of the day, dogs in training or certified are still dogs who make mistakes.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY!

For those who don't know.

International dog day was first created to promote adoption and keeping wildlife safe. The day was also created for people to celebrate dogs of all breeds and to give honour to working dogs. This day was created in 2004. And is celebrated annually.

Being a trainer, I work with all different kinds of breeds and all different goals. While other dogs are learning how to walk on a leash. Others are learning on how to be a companion and a task trained service dog.

What training looks like!

This is Bailey my autism assistance and pots service dog.

He's still in training as I had been working on him behind the scenes, while building a business built to help those in need. But looking into certifications within the next year or so.

If you have a mental, physical disability or syndrome and thinking a service dog might better your life. Here at Fraser Valley Service Dogs we coach you, and train your dog at the same time to make strong independent dogs and handlers!
