Every walk, every adventure, every moment together. ❤️

Movement is an important part of our dogs’ everyday lives, and supporting their mobility is something worth thinking about throughout their lives.

That’s why we developed Mobility & Vitality, our canine supplement formulated to support joint health and mobility.

🇨🇦 Made in Canada, guided by veterinary knowledge.

Health is build 🤓

Through movement, mental stimulation, good nutrition, play, rest…. and time together ❤️

At Ancestral, nutrition is the part we can take care of. It’s what we research, formulate and work on every day.

But focus on only one part of the picture wouldn’t make much sense to us.

Our pets health is influenced by many things, and they work together. Good nutrition should be part of a life that also includes movement, stimulation, play, recovery and plenty of moments like these.

Ashina certainly keeps me practicing all of them.

Health is more than what goes in to the bowl

It’s movement, exploration, social connection, play…. And having the health to enjoy more moments together.

Nutrition is one part of that bigger picture and it’s the part we’re passionate about at Ancestral.

Because ultimately, the goal isn’t simply to feed our pets

It’s to help them enjoy more of the life we share with them ❤️

And Ashina seems pretty committed to that philosophy 😎

Some days are better with good weather, a good friend… and the right treats.

Sir Nicholas and his buddy seem to have the formula figured out.

Ancestral Bites are made in small batches here in BC, with carefully selected ingredients and a simple purpose: creating treats our pets can enjoy while keeping nutrition in mind. 🇨🇦

Want to try them? Explore Ancestral Bites on our website, ask for them at your local pet store or pet care professional, or share this post with a friend whose dog deserves a taste. ❤️

Four years can change a lot. ❤️

What started with ideas, small test and a lot of questions was driven by something much bigger: our passion for creating natural, biologically appropriate products that support and preserve the health of our pets.

Four years later, that purpose is still at the heart of what we do everyday.

We’re still learning, improving. Still building Ancestral one step at the time.

For a small Canadian business like ours, support comes in many forms; trying our products, asking for Ancestral at your local pet store or pet care professional, sharing our work with a friend, or simply following our journey.

Every bit of support help us keep building and doing what we love ❤️ 🇨🇦

Thank you for being part of it.

Healthy Pets = Healthy Humans

The Hearty Gold hunt was a success. 😂

A sunny day, a good buddy, some serious focus… and eventually, the treasure. 🤎

Thank you to our friend Sir Nicholas Liam , his buddy, and their wonderful mama for sharing these moments with us. We loved them!

Hearty Gold is part of our Ancestral Bites® collection — natural, gently dried dog treats made in Canada. 🇨🇦

A cat's kidneys do their job quietly for years before anyone gives it a second thought 🐱

A few small habits help: always having fresh water available, wet or gently-cooked food for the extra moisture, and a regular senior check-up with your vet. Feline Urinary Care fits into that routine, Health Canada VHP approved (NN.M7B8) to help support urinary tract health and normal kidney function. Send this to a cat parent whose cat just crossed into senior years.
