We are full service animal hospital, complete with full Laboratory, Surgical, Dental, Radiological and Pharmaceutical facilities and services. We are open 7 days a week with extended hours. We perform a wide variety of non-elective and elective surgical procedures. We are fully equipped to undertake most soft tissue, Orthopedic and Dental surgeries.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Gatland family and everyone in the community who came together to support Thunderbird Animal Hospital through the special event organized on our behalf.

Your generosity, kindness, and encouragement mean more to us than words can express. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a caring and compassionate community.

As the Gatland family begins this new chapter, we wish them a safe, smooth, and successful move. They will be greatly missed, and we hope they know how much their support and friendship have meant to us.

Before the heat of summer draws us outside to enjoy sunny days with friends and family, it’s important to remember that our four-legged family members experience the warm weather very differently.
Certain breeds are especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses. Brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Pekingese, and Shih Tzus have a harder time regulating their body temperature, making them more susceptible to overheating. Likewise, double-coated breeds including Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, German Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, and Bernese Mountain Dogs can struggle in extreme temperatures. Hot pavement can also cause painful and severe burns to sensitive paw pads.

To help keep your pets safe and comfortable, plan walks during the cooler parts of the day—early in the morning before temperatures rise, or later in the evening once the ground and air have had a chance to cool. A little extra caution can go a long way in ensuring everyone, including our furry companions, enjoys a safe and happy summer.
